The staff was really nice and helpful. The room was basic but nicely kept.
The breakfast was a bit monotone but I could take it since my kids liked it. The surrounding of the hotel is full with restaurants where we could have proper dinner and lunch.
The location is great, getting Anse Volbert takes max 5 minutes by walk. There are also souvenir shops and a small grocery very close to there if you want to cook for yourself in the hotel.
If I remember well I paid cca. 120 eur/night which is a reasonable price in that area of Praslin in the peak season
Our room was facing to the neighbour site which was dingy and weedy. This was the smaller issue. The real issue was that there is a carpanter workshop in that site and the buzz saw was on whole day. If you are not at home you can't recognize this because the workers stop working at 4 pm. But my wife and the kids got sick two days after the arrival and layed in the bed 48 hours so it was really annoying.
By the way, the hotel owner and the staff was also very nice at this stage because they did their best to arrange the doctor to come asap.
Also when virus infection was over my younger daughter was too weaken to walk on her small foot. (She was only 2,5 years-old in December 2010.) The owner immediately offered a baby trolley to use without asking it.
I only had two major concern during my stay.
1.) Whenever I requested beach towel that day there was no towel changing in the room. I don't understand why. They changed the whole beddings etc but there was no energy or intention to change the towels.
2.) On the day I left I wanted to settle the remaining amount. We agreed how much I owe and I wanted to pay by my credit card. The receptionist refused it, I was told that the pos machine is not working for a while. My wife became very nervous she was talking directly to the owner who said that this is none of his business because we are in Seychelles and everything is working very slowly. By the end of story I had to walk to the nearest ATM and pick up nearly 11,000 rupees in cash. This occured an extra 60 euro costs for me. Comparing this 60 euro to the total cost of the holiday is nearly nothing but this is not the point.
I was happy at that place for 8 days but the last morning made me very-very disappointed.
