Mango Lodge had a spectacular view, but was EXTREMELY hot with NO AIR CONDITIONING in the room. There is a ceiling fan that does nothing but blow the hot air around. The doors and windows have no insulation (the window in the bathroom had slats open completely to the outside), so the place was very noisy. All night long, while you laid awake with no A/C, you could hear dogs barking and people talking.
After the first night, I asked for a standing fan (and was looked at with shock, saying that no one had ever asked for one before) and that helped some. It never gets below about 23 degrees C (75 F) in the Seychelles at night, so clearly the room is going to be 30+ degrees (85+) from being heated up all day.
The bathroom was absolutely disgusting (see attached photos). The shower was moldy, the toilet was gross, and the shelving unit was rusting. The floors and kitchen of the unit were in decent condition, but when we arrived, there were HUGE blatant stains all over the sheets. I cannot imagine how any place like this could be rated more than 1 Star.
Overall, the location is good, the sunbeds at the beach are a plus, and the chalets are quaint looking at first, but I would never stay here again.
