“The only place to stay in skiathos..perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

A perfect boutique hotel set just behind the best beach in Europe. The staff couldn't be more helpful, ask for Christina or Eva, both perfect hostesses. Breakfast was great. the hotel was far enough from skiathos town to avoid the crowds but near enough to get to if you want to enjoy the sea front bars. I was never one for beach holidays but this holiday changed my view. I would unquestionably return to this hotel and recommend it highly

We stayed at the hotel in July for one week straight after our engagement. A couple of days before we arrived we were told that there was a problem with our room. We were booked at another hotel for one night, at their own cost. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted very warmly and were made to feel very welcomed. The room that we had was excellent. Very spacious, extremely clean and with all the amenities you could wish for. The pool is on the small size, but when you have the sea just around the corner who cares!! The buffett breakfast was good, however the area outside was swarming with bees which made it very frustrating. The staff was very helpful and always seemed to have enough time for us. We ate outside at the tavernas around the hotel and we didnt get a chance to eat at the hotel restaurant, through our own fault. We run out of days!! We asked about the best beaches and places to visit and the information we were given was just fantastic. The info was spot-on and we were not disappointed. Thank you everybody for making our stay so enjoyable and our engagement something to remember!!

Excellent for couples - this hotel is so non typical greek. We have returned a few times to Skiathos and to this hotel. The rooms are not large but are really nicely decorated fully air conditioned which is a must. We only ever go B&B so that we can go out to the many tavernas within walking distance to the hotel. The dinng room is very elegant and is lovley to have breakfast in. Breakfast is fairly limited but certainly enough to see you survive until lunchtime or dinner. The swimming pool is lovley but again is not big and I'd hate to be in it if the hotel was ever full. Staff are generally very nice however we did eat in the Elias restaurant one evening and we didnt enjoy the over attentive service that we were given! Dont be put off as the food is lovely. The hotel is within a short walk to a really nice popular beach however look out for the boats that come over from the mainland and drop off daytrippers. There are a few beach bars and a small shop on the beach which is great for lunch and beers. There are some beautiful beaches within a short walk through the forrest and these are more remote and less busy and well worth the walk. Further down at the end of the road there is the famous Banana beach which unfortunately when we were last there was booming out music most of the day which is not what we were after. Further round there is small banana beach which is famous for other reasons. All in all this part of Skiathos is beautiful. Skiathos Town is about 30 minutes away by car and there is a bus service which is brilliant as it runs from Skaithos Town down to Koukinaries so no need to hire a car if you dont want. We love hiring a jeep and going through the many forrests in Skiathos. Not to be missed is the lovely Skiathos Town which comes alive in the evening with many lovley restaurants, shops and very nice bars. So as you can tell it is one of our favourite Greek Islands. We hope to get back soon

Room Tip: All rooms are much the same so cant go wrong

We have just come back from a week at the Mandraki, it wasn't long enough! The hotel is lovely, everyone was very welcoming. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast buffet was amazing. We will certainly be coming back to this hotel. Christiania and Eve were the perfect hosts.

Wanted a quiet but luxurious hotel for myself and my 15 year old daughter to stay in July 2012 for a week. Hotel was very efficiently run and the rooms were nicely decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ate in the hotel restaurant several nights - excellent food and service. Beach was 5 minutes walk. Small pool but always fairly quiet. Gardens well kept, balcony had a clothes airer. Nearest taverna to the hotel was very popular and did excellent food. Went on the bus couple of times - an experience, they really pack the people on ! Best way to see the island though. One day I will visit again.

I can't see how anyone can see any negatives with this Hotel. We have travelled all over Greece and found this to be one of the better hotels we have stayed in. The decor was lovely, a great deal of thought had been put into it. The rooms were cleaned every day by some hard working cleaners who did an excellent job. The management were helpful and friendly. The bar staff were very good. If I had to be a little critical it would be the pool could do with some improvement but was adequate. The breakfast was presented in a clean environment and well prepared. it had everything you needed to start the day off and the times for breakfast were 8am to 11am which should suit everyone. The restaurant upstairs, we found to be very good. We used it twice but there are some lovely restaurants in Skiathos. Lo & La was very good, The Final Step was excellent. I think going on the 21st September had some good and bad points. Good points was quite quiet but not desolate and beaches were just right. Bad points were the bars had run out of draught beer and the supermarkets were sparse. Pubs and bars down the strip had closed. Trips to Skopolos could only be for overnight as the ferry services had cut back. For us this didn't matter as we just wanted a restful break. I was disappointed with Koukanaries beach, the beach at Troulos was, in my mind, far better and much cleaner. It has been 12 years since last on this Island and although changes have taken place, it is still a beautiful island. Well worth a visit and I would say stay in The Mandraki it was first class

Just stayed a week at Mandraki Village Boutique Hotel, and im in love! The hotel is clean and chilled, with the most fantastic staff ever. The rooms are nice and have all you wish for.
The breakfast is a fairytale, and the very pleasent start for a new, perfect day!
The village-aeria is aprox. 20 min from Skiathos town, just as I wonted it to be :) It's close to some 100% amazing beaches, and is small & cozy. The hotels restaurant Elia's is one of the best of the island i suppose, and serves you excellent dishes. Try the risotto with truffel oil!
You can rent a car/scooter just beside, and for the sportyer souls the hotel offers offroad bikes for 5 euro a day. I highly recommand this hotel AND village!
Can't wait to be back!!! Love from Oslo ;-)

Room Tip: Room 601 was great :)
