“The Budgie Cage”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2010

The Hotel was clean, and the air conditioned rooms made a huge difference. As has been mentioned previously, the staff were stand offish at first, but soon got into the spirit of things after a few days. Thats as good as it gets really. Travelling with two teenage girls, there was absolutley no entairtainment for them at all. There is an on site disco, but if only if you don't mind your female teenagers being harassed all night by Turkish staff and loclas alike. The same happens when you go to the local shops. I could go on and on but other reviews (mainly Robert & Sonya's) sums the place up. The only highlight of the holiday was the few British families we met there. My advice would be to just not go, full stop. But i have to say a big thank you to Robert and Sonya who managed to smuggle my wife's purse out of Turkey after she left it in the hotel room. The hotel or holiday company did not want to help at all in the recovery, so a huge thank you to them both. And like Robert says, if I ever see a Speedo (budgie smuggler) again, it'll be too soon.

hotel was clean. staff were a bit stand offish at first. not used to uk visitors but after a week they were brill. bar staff and beach man were excellent. not much english spoken which was a bit of a problem. was meant to be an all inclusive hotel but it wasnt. you were charged for the water and drinks in the mini bar. safe box was extra ice cream extra. there was no all inclusive at the beach. all you got was breakfast lunch and dinner no snacks inbetween bar closed at 11 sharp. food was awful. catered for russians and germans. we lived on toast and fruit as it was the only food that didnt make us ill. resort was small and only had a few shops and restaurants. hotel had entertainment on a saturday nite and it was the staff who entertained you. this part of turkey is nice but is catered for russians and germans only. only thing that made holiday bearable was that we met some english and scottish families over the 2 weeks. went on 2 day trips which were very good as we didnt have 2 spend time at the hotel. no entertainment during the day and no childrens facility ie no play area and no childrens pool. do not go 2 this hotel unless you want 2 lose weight....
robert and sonya. northern ireland.

The hotel is nice, but never 4 star. It is clean. The food is for Russians and Germans only. There is no atmosphere. There is no entertainment and that goes for the surrounding area. It is like a ghost town. It is very expensive to shop in the area. The beach is all stones. The free beer and vodka is very poor. Any other alcohol costs a fortune. I'm so glad they had a spa or i would have been bored the whole week. If you go out to a restaraunt you are most likely to dine alone, although the people are nice.

I had an accident in the hotel and noone was interested, they speak very poor English in the hotel. I needed help with the internet, but no one could help or understand me. Very frustrating and they also confer in their own language and have a laugh at your expense. I would never go back to camyuva and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

When i booked the holiday it said i was going to Antalia. When i received my tickes it says Keymen (both are nice beaches and shopping), Instead we got taken to camyuva for 70 pounds one way transfer from the airport. I was charged 5 pounds for an 80p Chat magazine and 35 pounds for a small bottle of Malibu.

The only good thing is that i was only charged 300 per person all inclusive.
