We have visited Canet over 10 years for its homely character and cooking. The range of dishes is Catalan but prepared in a pleasantly satisfying manner. Rather like home cooking for a 'Sunday lunch'. Although there is avery good 19 Euro menu you will get a better selection from the a la carte, and if you only have 2 courses it will not be much more expensive. Quantities are huge, ingredients fresh and the cooking pretty straightforward. They will not prepare menu dishes if they have not been able to get good quality ingredients. The wine list is sufficient, with local wines and other mainline Spanish, all at a reasonable mark-up. We like to call in at least once per visit to Catalunya and are never disappointed.
