“A unique and stimulating experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

Truly awe-inspiring lava tunnels adapted to create an unmissable tourist attraction. Full of contrasting elements and surprises developed under the guidance of artist Cesar Manrique- his touch of genius is everywhere. Enhanced by delightful restaurant and volcanic museum. The must-see attraction on Lanzarote, but try to visit independently to have plenty of time to absorb the spirit of the place.

“a lagoon of tranquility”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013

Driving northwards from Arrecife you come across Jameos del agua creation of local artist Cesar Manrique. Jameo means opening, of which there are 3 here which form a series of lagoons created by the volcano. Inside of these has been created an area where visitors can admire the local vegetation and also a centre for the study of volcanos which is extremely interesting. An unusual place for an entertainment centre but has a lovely atmosphere.

“Serene and Beautifull”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013

As part of the Grand Tour, this is a must to visit. The use of the terrain and natural habitat of the blind crabs was an eye opener if you will excuse the pun. Well worth the visit.

“Caves”

This was part of the tour of the north of the island. little dissapointing given the sales pitch by the guide. The highlight is the pool with the albino crabs.

“Go just for the little crabs !”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

Fascinating attraction designed out of a lava tunnel - down some steep steps into a cafe area and then down more steps to the lagoon where the tiny blind white crabs live - fascinating to see. Walk alongside the pool to another cafe area and up more steps into the white lagoon area and more steps to another cafe - never short of a cafe !. Plenty of places to stop and rest or have some peace and quiet
