“Exceptional bunk barn.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

This accommodation exceeded our expectations. The location is spectacular right next to the river and waterfall and the remodel is very tastefully done. Small lounge area combined with ample self catering kitchen made a nice focal point. The bunk rooms, the private double room and the bathrooms were all very clean and comfortable. There were ample supplies of toast and also porridge and cereal for breakfast. A very good deal, we were well pleased and would definitely recommend and return to this lovely spot.

Room Tip: There is one private room (double) with en-suite shower. This is on the lower level and also has a...

One of the best camping experiences I've ever had. The yurt we stayed in was amazing - really comfy soft beds, wooden floor with rugs, leather sofa. For something like £6 Michelle brought our dinner to the yurt - really nice chilli and Black Sheep beer - what luxury! Solar powered fairy lights lit up the inside of the yurt when it got dark and a wonderful central wood burning stove kept it warm. Other highlights included:- right next to beautiful waterfalls; fire pits available; undercover kitchen area a with sink, kettle, tables & sofa; lovely bacon baguette breakfast - brought to your yurt; really friendly, helpful owners; candle lantern provided; basket of games in the yurt. Truly the attention to detail was flawless. It's spoiled me for coming home!

One of my favorite stays on the entire coast to coast, and much cheaper than some of the others. We stayed in our own private double bed room with a private en suite bathroom in the bunkhouse, that shared the common living room and kitchen facilities with other people staying in the bunkhouse. It was a wonderful room. Good mattress and linens. Very clean. We listened to the roaring creak all night - so peaceful and quite. A wonderful stay at a great price. Breakfast is limited to cereal and milk. The man who runs it was very helpful as well.

We were originally camping here but after a few hard days we asked to upgrade. After a bit of negotiation we got the double room (set up for 3 people) in the community block. It was far better than camping. Michelle absolutely looked after us and made sure our stay in Keld was a good 'un. Would definitely come back here if staying anywhere in this area. Well done!

I stayed here with some friends while walking the coast to coast. I admit I was a little apprehensive at staying in a bunk barn but needn't have worried. Ian & Michelle have worked hard to provide everything you need for an overnight stay. The bunk barn is excellently furnished and the bunk rooms are clean and spacious. There is a comfortable lounge area with TV and a large dining table and well equipped kitchen. They offer evening meals and we ordered curries and lamb stew which was brought into the barn and both were tasty and filling. They also offer beer and wine. The setting is perfect, Definitely worth a return visit.

Fantastic place to stay if you are up to do some hiking in the Dales! Top quality private double and great kitchen facilities. Also access by bus from Richmond which we used as we weren't doing the coast-to-coast nor had a car! Best walks and hikes in UK!

We loved the yurt accommodation. The hosts were very friendly and can cook food if you require. There are clean toilets and shower rooms too. There is a dining table, bed for 4 people but upto 6 people can easily fit in.

The location of the Yurt is beautiful. There is a waterfall just behind the yurt. When you wake up in the morning, all you can hear is birds chirping, water flowing and sheep bleating.. Very peaceful...

When night gets dark, there are fairy lights inside. They lit the yurt beautifully.... Its truly a magical experience...

Room Tip: This is also a camping site. But choose to stay in the Yurt! It's worth it.
