Good points: location, beautiful surroundings, clean and quite spacious rooms, very quiet and the food, which is plenty – in the morning there is a buffet, but be warned that the best bits are going fast and are not always promptly replenished. If you go a bit later the chopped fruit doesn’t look that fresh. Evening meal is a choice of 4 different meals; one of them is veggie, plus two soups and various salads. Again, the best mixed salad is always eaten very fast and once it’s gone it’s gone…otherwise the food is typical Czech cuisine, very tasty and it’s possible to have seconds or mix and match different meats or side orders. You can sit where you want in the restaurant, but most people stick to their usual table. For drinks, I can recommend the dry Czech white wine, which is excellent and costs just over £1 a glass (less than a bottle of Coke).
This place is also perfect for skiing, as there are several ski slopes nearby. There are several tourist routes next to the hotel and a bus stop just few meters from the hotel, so it’s very convenient if you want to visit the chateau in Velke Losiny or spa town of Jesenik.
Our room was on the first floor and I’ve had an amazing view from my window. Another good point is that you can take your pets and dogs with you.
Bad points: the rooms don’t look like in the pics – e.g. cushions, throws and towels are missing, ah, the the towels – very, very old and tired, swimming pool – small and very cold water, it shouldn’t even be advertised, the shower rooms are also very basic, the billiard/pool room – it’s a nightmare and it shouldn’t be advertised , as the white ball gets stuck every time inside the table, the non-existent wi-fi, which is a joke.
Would I stay again? Yes, but lower your expectations, enjoy the beautiful country side and the food and you’ll be happy (I hope).
