“Loved every minute”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2012

We only stayed for two nights, but we had a fantastic time. The hotel is beautiful and quiet. The view from the balcony is amazing and it is close to the shops, port and beaches, but not too close. It is the perfect getaway. The manager/owner is friendly and helpful, and can suggest places to go if you are at a loss. The hotel also has beautiful gardens, complete with pomegranate and lime trees, that you can enjoy freely. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone! We will be back, says the husband :D

Room Tip: We were in room 6, at the end of the hall on the top floor. Fantastic!

We stayed for 4 nights in September. We received a warm welcome to our comfortable, pretty room with a balcony looking out at the sea. We spent most evenings on the balcony in the sunshine and then watching the sun setting. The hotel is very tranquil, particularly the gardens where we chose to have breakfast - good quality, tasty cold buffet. It was a very short walk to the shops, restaurants and seafront/port for ferries. We loved the buzz of Aegina town, having previously spent a few days on much quieter Agistri to completely wind down at the start of our holiday. We would happily stay here again and thank you to Dagmar.

Room Tip: upper floor rooms with balconies looking out at the sea

If you want a chilled out getaway or a romantic weekend, I highly recommend the Rastoni.
The hotel has a lovely vibe about it, gorgeous gardens to relax in, is only a couple of minutes from one of the few beaches in Aegina town itself and has Dagmar to look after you - and you can't ask for a better person to do that. Our room had a fabulous four-poster bed with a lovely balcony and a view over the gardens and ocean, the perfect place for a pre-dinner sundowner.

Room Tip: I think they all look out over the ocean, but I am not certain. There are only a few rooms so book e...

Fantastic hotel, a beautiful room with an amazing view and a great breakfast. Dagmar was a great hostess , friendly, direct. The garden was beautiful and we also enjoyed the feline visitors.
The 4 days here were the best of our greek trip.

My parnter and I along with 5 of our friends stayed at Rastoni for a few days in July 2012, and it far exceded all of our expectations. The rooms were modern and beautifully designed, the staff were incredibly courteous and went out of their way to make us comfortable at every opportunity, the breakfast was delicious and healthy, and the view and hotel groungs were stunning. I can't wait to stay at Rastoni again!

Room Tip: You can't go wrong with any room you choose.

The plan was to meet up with old friends on a Greek island after getting off a cruise at Pireaus. We did not want a long ferry ride and Aegina fitted the bill ideally. Hotel Rastoni was a delight. The rooms were lovely with a great view each with a balcony. The garden was an oasis with shady spots to relax or enjoy breakfast. Dagmar our host was superb, full of useful information and advice about the island and where to go on day trips. We hired the hotel car and it was all so easy.
It is also an easy stroll to the restaurants and bars in the town. Would thoroughly recommend.

aegina island is very close to athens, about 40 minutes voyage by a dolphin from the piraeus port, and it's really worth visiting. the hotel is located within a walking distance from the port of aegina and a very good option, i am saying that because we were not able to find another hotel of this quality close to the port. as we planned to stay only for the weekend, we didn't want to book a hotel away from the port, or rent a car for a trip around the island, so the rastoni location worked out good for us.
our room had a balcony and overlooked ancient ruins, and the view that we had from the balcony was stunning, both late at night, but also in the morning sun! we also had a small kitchen with all the necessary appliances, however we never used it.
to my personal opinion the room was a bit overpriced, but i can understand why: you get an adequate service for what you pay. the room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, and what's the most important, the owners didn't try to save money on the furniture, you will not find plastic tables or chairs in the garden.
