Stayed at this hotel after reading the reviews.
We had a lovely room with marble floors, very comfortable twin beds, air conditioning, ensuite shower/bath and a balcony overlooking the sea. There were no tea making facilities, complimentary toiletries (useful for the beach), hotel guide or local information (the receptionist did try really hard to find some but to no avail), we did have a safe and a reasonably new flat screen tv!
The view from the balcony was beautiful and yes you can see the oil refinery (just) but why look at that when you have more wonderful things to look at.
Breakfast was great but the fruit juice on offer is a lot to be desired (the grapefruit is slightly better) and tinned fruit not fresh. Plenty of options including omelettes, croissants, cereal and yoghurt.
Evening meal was delicious although it is served more 'school dinner' style rather than restaurant style but did mean you could return more than once and try the many dishes on offer. Each night there would be at least one meat, fish and vegetarian option plus a pasta dish served with rice, potatoes, lots of vegetables and bread. Puddings were very yummy and there were at least 6 different varieties plus fresh fruit, yoghurt and chocolate mousse.
Most nights after dinner we retired to the bar but you could taxi to the village nearby and visit one of the tavernas. As this was a holiday for relaxing we were quite happy to retire early.
Spent plenty of time at the beach which was set out with chairs, loungers and parasols, nearby there were warm showers and the hotel reception provided towels. Also used the pool, this was colder than the sea, but great location as it was near to the children's play area.
