“great location, value for money”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment for 6 nights and had a fantastic time there. Kerryn who looks after the apartments is really nice and always happy to answer any questions. The apartment that we stayed was very clean had all the necessary amenities and utensils in the kitchen. All the appliances worked. There was a beach just a short walk and a small shopping center nearby. There is a small pool and our little one had a great time there.
Definitely value for money.

Thank you for your kind review - I was delighted to receive such great feedback from you about
our property and the beautiful area in which we live. I hope you will have an opportunity to return to
the Northern Beaches of Cairns on a future occasion.

Great location, short walk to the peaceful Clifton Beach or 10 minutes beach walk to Palm Cove with its beach front cafes and restaurants.

Clifton beach shopping centre within 10 minutes easy walk has supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants and car hire. Bus stop on corner giving easy access to Cairns.

Friendly and helpful proprietor Kerryn can advise and book tours and transfers.

Good value, clean accomodation to suit both couples and families set in a superb location.

Efficient admininistration, helpful and generous service. Spotlessly
clean apartment, stocked with everything you need (including a small
bottle of table salt - a lovely touch and very typical for the attention
to detail). All appliances worked - air conditioning, microwave, kettle,
internet. Nice gardens, very quiet location and beach is 50m. Excellent
value for money.

Place had a lovely homey feel. Only downsides were the people below us felt the need to yell loudly all night, but that is in no way the Hotel's fault & there was a dead Cockroach in the Kitchen.. But it was dead so that is a good sign haha!

Room Tip: One on the bottom floor would be better :)

Just a 10min walk along the beach to the highly touristy Palm Cove, this is a quiet, beautiful little sanctuary right across from Deadman's Gully and the lovely Clifton Beach. The rooms are fully equipped, self-contained units, the pool area is peaceful with picnic tables and a barbecue, the palm trees create a beautiful atmosphere, and the staff are just lovely - helpful and friendly while considerate of your privacy. You can book tours through reception also, but I enjoyed the peace and relaxation of Clifton Palms and the beach so much, I decided to save the tours for my next visit :)

Room Tip: All rooms on ground floor - I stayed in 3 and 10 and preferred no.10 as it let in more light.

This was our second visit to Clifton Palms, now with new owners, and Kerryn was so helpful particularly when we wanted to book a trip to Fitzroy Island at the last minute.
It is in such a good position, nice and quiet, close to the beach, yet with a shopping centre just a few minutes walk away, and an easy trip into Cairns and the airport. Best value for money of the 3 places we stayed on this trip.
We took our laptop with us, but unfortunately could not pick up the WiFi that was supposed to be available.
We arrived from New Zealand at midnight, and were relieved to find our key in an envelope taped to the office window just as Kerryn said it would be. However, it would have been nice to have had a hot drink after our journey but there was no milk, and the next morning we would have liked to have a cup of tea before we had to go to the supermarket to buy provisions for breakfast.
We will definitely be back again and will recommend it to anyone visiting Cairns.

Room Tip: Didn't use the swimming pool or Fitness Centre.
