Many people come here to fast, but I came here to enjoy the Radiance Restaurant. It is one of the most creative and inspired 'spa menus " I have come across. It ranges from huge , organic salads, classic thai, and an extensive vegetarian and also Raw Food menu as well as 'longetivity' fruit & veg drinks. Weekly raw food cookery classes are on offer too. I ate healthy here for a week, and loved it. A free shuttle runs between the beachfront rooms and the mountaintop jungle bungalows; the pool up at the mountain area (Spa Village) is such a peaceful and tranquil spot, whereas the pool down at the beach is very small and few sun beds. The beach down that end of Lamai beach is not much to speak of; ; it disappears mostly during high tide, and there is a fishing mini harbour/jetty in front of the Spa beach. I stayed in the pool A frame bungalow; very cute and comfortable room, however the A frames all back up onto the neighbouring resorts 'back of house' corridor, so I heard the other property's work staff jabbering away and clanging stuff around from 0500 till late at night, so quiet, its not! I think if you are coming here to fast, the Village mountain top rooms are a better bet as much more peaceful for introspection and healing -however having both options available to all guest is a real plus.
