“Best French Restaurant in Samui”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

We had dinner here with my Dive group last month and all I can say is that, the employees were very nice especially the Chef, who had welcomed us personally. The ambience was very nice too and lastly the food ...... hmmmmm.... as you say in French, C'est tres tres excellent!

“NOT 'Gastronomie Française'”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013

We were there short after the opening, and, it was a promising place. We went back recently, took about the same dishes, prices had gone up BIG time. We avoided the 'mise en bouche'... The panfried duck liver had gone thin, the roasted ginger bread base replaced by a soggy bread slice, the 'asparagus' looking/tasting like mayo from the tube; the beef filet was OK, more MW than MR, the sauce was unexistant, made at the table with a base like ready-from-the-bucket snot in highway industrial eateries; the chicken breast with cider and terragon was awfully sweet (use 'brut' cider!); the desserts we ordered were not available, so had basic fried banana flambée, which was not fried, no 'flambée' flames either, plus half melted ice cream. Our wine choices were out of stock too. Thumbs down! Back to basics, and modesty, 'chef' Ludovic, please, you're in the tourist-trap-league now (the numerous 'Samuian' French epicurians we've met totally agreed).

“The best ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2013 via mobile

We had some of the absolute best food ever, enjoyed it in very nice surroundings, and had absolutely no complaints.
The service was excellent, and the food .... To die for.
Greate place, great staff and a fantastic chef, with a menu it was hard to choose from, as you would like to taste it all :-)

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

A little way off the main drag towards the south end of Lamai Beach main road, but a real gem, the chef is a Frenchman and crazy in that super Gallic style, and the food is really top notch, recommended you take time to seek this place ourt.

“Fantastique ...don't miss Le Napoleon.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

chef bonnefond was the perfect host. The perigord inspired menu was delectable. A must for any Lamai Beach visit. Magnifique! Even accommodated my lactose intolerance.
