We loved the location of this hotel. It was clean and great value for the price. I would stay again for sure. It was difficult though trying to communicate our needs with the staff as there was minimal English. The restaurant was fine but advertised fresh juice which was actually Tang.

Marina is located right in the center of Lamai, walking distance to bars, restaurants. It is also beachfront and has 2 swimming pools. The bigger pool is much nicer. Rooms are clean and nice, quite value for money.

Staff is so unhelpful and some dont speak english at all. We requested a few things in the morning and could not get an answer from those morning staff. The only answer was to wait until 2pm so the manager can answer. Also they didnt change the towels frequently even after having cleaned the room, we always had to ask for it.

started when we arrived getting pushed to another nearby hotell as they say it was full eventho we had paid upfront.

thoose rooms had construction materials left over on the floors , bes was all black with dirt .

after 1 day we had our normal rooms we paid for after alot of arguing , the helpfullness is about 0 from the staff and all they can say is -im sorry eventho they sell a room even when fully booked.

restaurant at beach staff is horrible but the food is decent , pool was ok aswell .

simply stay away cause if you get into any problem here you will get NO help from this staff.

On the whole, it was simply OK.

Position: Centre of Lamai. Lamai has defiantly become a haven for sex tourists. It a bit seedy now.

The room: big enough but because the shower was badly built it never drained & we always had a wet floor. No enclosure to shower, water went everywhere but good hot water. Walls are this so it was pretty noisy. Balcony good size, with an excellent view of the room opposite. No sea views. Good sized safe.

The pool: This was my main gripe. The concrete in the pebbledash along the edge of on of the pools has all eroded. This caused some really bad cuts & scratches on out 2 year olds skin. I mean, it's really sharp so be careful.
The small pool was only half full of water.
Water was not very clear so assume the pumps & filters were not working properly.

The beach: the beach loungers have seen much better days. Covers all split with dirty foam coming out. This part of Lamai beach is littered with plastic, glass bottles & cigarette butts. The hotel does not clean thier section of beach like others do.

The restaurant did not appeal, so we did not use it.

For a quieter family holiday, there are much better places. We really didn't want to spend any time here.
