“Excellent Food, Great Evening”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

Graze is now under new management, Tabby (chef) and her husband Alex (man of many talents) offer absolutely fabulous fare. They are open for dinner on Friday night and breakfast on Saturday and sometimes another night during the week when they will offer a set menu. Last night was a Thai evening and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the restaurant was filled to capacity. The owners' relaxed demeanor and friendly disposition adds to the "villagy" atmosphere of the restaurant.

“A One Night Stand”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 22, 2012

Yes, in the picturesque village of Stanford, near Hermanus, a restaurant, with indoor and outdoor Italian dining, with a set menu, and open on just Friday nights. Owner-managed, and very popular with visitors to the area

“Made-to-order Italian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

The restaurant is only open on Friday nights, but is worth the wait. The lamb shank roasted with vegetables was outstanding, the pasta was good, the pancetta excellent. Bring your own wine, and no corkage!

“Very fresh and tasty Italian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2011

Graze is a slow food cafe in the main street of the picturesque village of Stanford. It has an unassuming frontage which rather disguises the culinary delights hidden inside! Italian food is the speciality of the house, but not of the pasta/pizza variety. The 'slow food' label refers to all the ingredients being home made or grown in the garden of the chef, the personable Jero. So if you order bruschetta, the bread and the mozzarella are made on site and the herbs and tomatoes wil be out of the garden. As you can imagine - the food is a real taste sensation compared to other places!
The restaurant is pleasant but small. There are only a few tables with a couple being out on the stoep so it makes sense to book, especially for weekends. Be prepared for a lingering experience....slow food doesn't come fast!
