“A must see in Crete”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2011

My husband and I visited Biolea during our stay in Chania, and we were completely amazed by the owners' philosophy, the facility, the tour, and of course the olive oil itself!

We arrived to Biolea without calling ahead, and upon arrival Christine offered to give us a private tour of the facility without a second thought. As a family we strive to consume natural, healthy foods, and Biolea's manufacturing process aligns exactly with that ideology. Christine educated us not only on the process used at Biolea, but other processing techniques as well. We learned a great deal, but my favorite part was the olive oil itself - the bitter orange oil is worth a trip to Greece, and I cannot wait to bake with it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at Biolea, and look forward to going back sometime in the future. My only disappointment was that we were not there during harvest season -- we would have loved to see the process in action! :)
