“A little piece of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

My husband and I came here with our two teenage daughters. We were so happy to discover this jewel in beautiful Northern Italy. Surrounded by grape vines, the hotel is beautifully situated and very clean. Ugo and Petra are very welcoming and we felt like their friends rather than unknown visitors. We were invited to have a tour of the impressive winery that is on site and then ate the most exquisite meal in the restaurant. We were looked after like family and felt so relaxed and comfortable in this unusually friendly hotel. We slept well in the airy room which was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated. After a delicious breakfast of home made cakes and home grown peaches, Ugo showed us his beautiful horses and took us for a walk in the woods with his dogs. None of us want to leave this little piece of heaven where nothing is too much trouble for our hosts and our comfort is their priority.

Room Tip: We were in the Rosevelt which has a lot of American history and charm! It is ideal for a family as i...

My family traveled to Europe for the first time. My wife and daughter are so happy to stay at your lovely hotel and ride the horses and walk around the lake and stroll in your forest and eat the best food and drink the best wine in the world. Also all the castles and the Barolo museum were great.

What a pity that I can only stay one night......(

Wonderful experience, worth every penny! Oh yes, my family loved the pool too. Gracie Mille.

Room Tip: We stayed in a great room. Everything was perfect. It was GREAT to not have a tv disturb us!

When traveling through Europe and trying to soak up as much of the scenery as possible, let us not forget to find time and a place to truly wind down. Leave the hustle and bustle of big city life behind and check into Ugo and Petra's dream-hotel.

Relais di Vino offers all the luxury, privacy and service anyone could ask for.

The best hosts, best food, best rooms in the Italian Barolo district.

I am very glad to recommend this property to you. ENJOY!

Room Tip: Ask for the Roosevelt Room. Sleeps four in two-story luxury!

A beautifully renovated property nestled in the vineyards of Ugo Chiola. The scenery is gorgeous, like something from a novel. Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. Rooms are well appointed, clean, and comfortable. Prices are reasonable for the standard of the rooms. Onsite restaurant for guests only is good as are the wines. The hostess, Petra, is magnificent and really makes you feel welcome. Location on the edge of the Barolo District is great for sightseeing and wine tasting. Free parking onsite.

This place is good for your soul. The most welcoming hosts, stunning surroundings and a really comfortable stay. Even with two small children in tow we had a relaxing and happy time here. Plus the wine is delicious! We can't wait to go back.
