I spent one week at Romance Bungalows with my family (both adults and children). We rented four rooms and it was really fantastic. The rooms where spacious, clean, very different and had both nice verandas and balconies. A perfect kitchenette, good shower (in one room a double one!) and nice chairs to sit in outside. Lots of trees with red och pink flowers, birds in red and orange and a view both of the ocean (between the trees) and of the mountain.
We loved when the nice lady came in the morning with the tray with breakfast and we choose between good omelettes or scrambled eggs. Nice coffee, toast and fresh fruit.
A couple of good restaurants where in walking distance. We like both the Boathouse with their buffet and La Plage.
The Beau Vallon beach was nice, not to many people and a bit away the children could swim without fear for big waves.
In the reception they were very helpful and kind. We really recommend Romance Bungalows.

We stayed at Romance bungalows for a week and have just returned. We are a family of 4 with a small baby. Before we left for the Seychelles we contacted Simone and Brian to ask for certain things we would need, for example a baby travel cot and a car seat for a hotel trandfer. They could not have been more helpful. A car seat was provided both to and from the airport. They provided us with one of the larger rooms so we had plenty of space. The accommodation is basic but has all we needed and was very clean, ideal for a family looking for sensibly priced accommodation in the Seychelles. The staff were AMAZING, like a family. They made the effort to get to know us and help in everyway possible. They knew all the best places to go and had all the information we required, even the best Pharmacy to use when I was covered in mozzie bites! It was our daughter's birthday while we were there and they even surprised her with a cake and a sing song from all the staff! Beau Valon beach was a 2 min walk from the bungalows making it super easy to come home quickly if the baby needed a rest. There really are not enough stars to rate the service here. We will be very regular visitors to Romance Bungalows where Simone, Brian and all the staff make a trip to the Seychelles extra special! :) x

The managers of the resort very very friendly and organised a bbq for us after we went fishing.
The experience proved very successful, since the fish was deliciously cooked together with local food.
We were so happy with the dinner that we engaged Jenna, the lady who prepared the bbq, for the successive 3 nights. We tried different local dishes and got very good value for money.

Romance Bungalows is a good option if you're on a budget in Seychelles. For approx. 100€ / night you get a spacious and clean but fairly basic room, and for a few extra euros you also get a simple breakfast included. The only negative about the room is that the bed was a bit too hard for our liking.

The location is good as it's right next to the Beau Vallon beach. The beach is nothing compared to the most beautiful ones in Seychelles but still quite lovely.

There are a couple of surprisingly good restaurants nearby. Would like to recommend La Plage that's directly on the beach, and La Perle Noire which is a short walk off the beach (ask the hotel for directions). Also the pizzeria across the street (Baobab) serves decent pizzas but their service is awfully slow so be prepared for a LONG wait if you go there.

The staff at Romance Bungalows were super friendly and all smiles. However, the reception hours are limited which was rather annoying a couple of times when we needed a bit of advice and found the reception closed.

If you're heading to Seychelles I wouldn't recommend making Mahe and Romance Bungalows your only destination. There is so much to see and experience on the smaller islands, and so many world-class resorts! So my advice is to book a few days at Romance and then venture further into the Seychellois paradise. At least for us that was the perfect choice.
