We were staying in Montecatini and heading back to Florence the next day. Da Marino was an amazing find. It's a family run trattatoria with incredibly delicious food. My husband and I are 'foodies', and we know our food (it's a bit of an obsession). The restaurant is a little off the beaten track, via Provinciale Lucchese 102 between Montecatini and Pistoia, but oh! what a culinary experience. We give it five stars and, our only disappointment was that we were leaving Italy the next day, otherwise we would have returned again and again.. Da Marino opened in 1920 and is a father-son operation; the son's wife overseas everything in the kitchen which is prepared expertly and lovingly. The menu is different in the evening - we went for lunch, and the menu changes monthly. I can only describe our eating experience as quite divine. Kelly & Dan Howard
