“We love Carrig House”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2010

Next time we will stay longer at carrig house. If you are looking for a comfortable and warm B&B - this is the best choice. Maurice and Shirley are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were warm (heated) and very clean. The house is situated on the outskirts of Liscannor, so there is no noise-level from the street. We had a nice view to the ocean (out of our window).

The breakfast at Carrig House was the best we got on our trip - bacon, sausages,
fresh fruit-salad, porridge - just to name a small selection.

We can strongly recommend Carrig House to everybody.

A great and warm welcome, very tasty and full breakfast and host Maurice has hidden singing talents (ask him)! We had 5 B&B's during our trip to Ireland, this was the first and the best! Highley recommanded!

Liscannor is not on the typical tourist circuit so many people may overlook this B&B gem. The town is between Cliffs of Moher and Lahinch - about 10 min to each.
The Carrig House owners, Maurice and Shirely are personable friendly people. Maurice is a former pub owner with a gift of Irish gab.
You will also be greeted by their dogs and cats.
The rooms were a comfortable size. Our bathroom was huge(because it formerly was a main bath in the upstairs). Breakfast was excellent with several choices.
The B&B is about a 10 min walk to town. Liscannor appears to be in the process of being discovered as a coastal town. There are new hotels and new/renovated area containing some pubs. Because it is small-eating and pub selection is more limited. The tradeoff is the proximity to Cliffs and Lahinch.
Would confidently recommend this B&B to travelers.

Carrig House, in Liscannor is a fabulous B&B run by Maurice and Shirley Glennon.

It's situated near the Cliffs of Moher and offers nice rural and sea views. We recommend it for everyone who's visiting the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and the Burren.

We loved everything. The room was superb and the breakfast was amazing! Shirley bakes the best brown bread we ever had!!! Maurice can help you plan your route around the Burren and the Cliffs, and he'll also teach you some gaelic words if you're up to it!

But the best of all, and the thing that we will always remember, is the way they welcomed us!! Their Cead Mile Failte was the best one we had in our trips to Ireland!!!

They made it very hard for us to leave, so we'll definitely return.
Go raibh maith agat! (thank you) Slan go foill! (bye for now)
