If you are thinking of travelling to the Caribbean, look no further. Rob and his staff have the perfect place. Extremely family friendly. Pool, beach is excellent. The price is all inclusive and the food is excellent. You immediately feel at home. Lunch is at the beach and is an event all its own. There are squash courts, and tennis courts. The pros are the best in the West Indies. Water sports are also all included. You will fell welcomed and at home as soon as you arrive!

Room Tip: Water and beach access best.

A superb spot in Antigua. Good food. Lovely beach and fabulous staff. Would highly recommend it, but could be pricey. If you like tennis, this is clearly the place, but there are numerous other activities also available. My only complaint is that there is clearly a need in Antigua for something other than light lagers; a good ale would be a nice switch.

Wonderful resort!!!

We enjoyed the tennis, scenery, food, lodging, beaches, activities and services.

We played a lot of tennis and received quality instruction from the tennis professionals (pros and staff). I'm really excited about utilizing the tips and techniques that I have learned while at Curtain Bluff for Tennis and Wellness week and spreading the word to my tennis friends. My sister and her partner won the round robin tournament and received a nice bottle of champagne during a presentation at Bluff View House.

And of course, we took full advantage of the beaches, world class spa, and inclusive food and drinks. The service and staff were impeccable!

We had wonderful back messages (deep tissue and de-stressor), manicures and jacuzzi experiences at the spa. We also snorkeled and sailed to the English Harbor in addition to Pilates and bocce ball. Curtain Bluff offered several activities and events during our stay.

During our stay we also attended cocktail parties at the Curtain Bluff owner's house (Bluff View) where there were even more spectacular views! We thought it was wonderful for the owner to invite guests to her home.

We had a fantastic experience at Curtain Bluff and plan to attend a tennis event there next year!

Cheers,
Pamela S

We keep trying to figure out what makes this place different from the rest. This is our 6th visit. #1 The food is excellent and constantly changing. Christoffe changes the menu daily. We go for two weeks and rarely see the same thing twice. #2 The staff are so efficient and friendly. Everything is top notch but the place still has a very welcoming and low key feel which is a perfect match for the Caribbean.

For the last two years we have had to break our trip in the middle for weddings or conferences and head over to Carlisle Bay. It is a very nice hotel but it is carbon copy of most resorts. Couple of a la carte restaurants with so so food and staff that seem like they would rather be somewhere else and kind of put out that you are bugging them to use the facilities. There is also the list of things to do which of course have added fees if they are at all out of the ordinary.

At Curtain everything is included. You can waterski, tube, deep sea fish, snorkel, scuba dive, cat sail, windsurf, SUP,etc.. Another example of the difference. They have a Cat sail over to a nearby beach once a week. Several people wanted to go again so they quickly arranged another one the next day. We missed a garden tour that we like to do every year. They called up the head gardener and arranged one for us the next day. They do everything in their power to make sure you have a memorable and relaxing vacation.

Room Tip: We like ground level on the beach. Great to step out your door right onto the beach and relax in a...

Antigua is a special place in the leeward islands, but the Curtain Bluff is a template for how to gratefully prosper. This property has a wonderfully symbiotic relationship with the local community, which allows the local staff to put the traditional Antiguan hospitality on full, unfeigned display. Beatifil beach, guest quarters, and amenities.

Curtain Bluff is a very special place, in large part because the staff is very special. They all make you feel very much at home and at ease. Want a drink ... just ask; want to water ski ... just ask; want to take out a sail boat ... just ask. They make everything easy. My wife and I keep going back because it is easy to both relax and stay active. We enjoy the water skiing, snorkeling, scuba, deep sea fishing, wine tasting, yoga, tennis, swimming and food, as well as just relaxing on the two beaches. Also an excellent spa. Special to us is the fact that they have live music every night. There is no bad room. We prefer the convenience of the first floor units (just step out onto the beach) but friends of ours prefer the second floor units and suites on the bluff. All inclusive and no worries about tipping or carrying cash. We love it!

We stayed at CB for a week in June (our 2nd time) and we fell in love with the resort all over again! The resort and beach are beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food/drink are great.

We stayed in an oceanfront unit which has a great view of the secluded ocean-side beach. We went to sleep listening to the waves crashing outside the window. The room was nice (basic, but comfortable) and was just a few steps from the bar/restaurant and a short walk to the spa/fitness center/tennis or the bayside-beach/restaurant/pool. We were there in low season and felt like we had the whole resort to ourselves (note: even though it was busier our first time here, it never felt crowded). There was never a line for the restaurants or bars, never a problem finding a chair on the beach and never a wait for watersports.

The food and drink were excellent for an all-inclusive resort. The main restaurant serves breakfast and dinner (full menu), and the beach restaurant serves lunch (buffet or menu) and special dinners (there were 2 during our stay). The main restaurant food was very high-quality and each meal was good (some excellent, some OK). The lunch buffet was very good, with a few hot entrees and a large salad bar, or you can order sandwiches or a few entrees off the menu. Drinks were good and plentiful - there were several cocktails to choose from, house wine (which was OK) and a local draft beer or a few choices in bottles. You can also order fine wines off the wine list at an additional cost, and prices were reasonable (for a resort). There was a band at dinner each night - we enjoyed most of them, and some guests even danced. There was a manager's cocktail party in the spa that was a great setting and a nice chance to socialize with the managers and guests.

The staff in general is very friendly and several will get to know you by name. You wouldn't know it based on the service, but there is no additional tipping required (although we did give tips to a few staff who went out of their way for us). We also got to know several of the guests, who were very friendly and a mixed crowd (old/young, Americans/Brits). It was like a small community.

We never left the resort but felt like we didn't need to. We kayaked, paddle-boarded, snorkeled, swam and walked the beaches end-to-end. Didn't get a chance to go fishing, water skiing or ride on an inflatable chair towed behind a boat, but we talked to several guests who did and had a great time. The organized snorkel trip to a nearby reef was very good, and you can also snorkel on the left side of the beach. There were some organized walks that were offered but we missed them each day - too busy enjoying the beach! The fitness center was small with a few treadmills/ellipticals and a couple of weight machines. We didn't go the spa.

Overall, if you're looking for a place to relax, enjoy the beach and eat/drink well, this is a great place to do it. We are looking forward to going back!
