We stayed at Cocos for nine nights as part of our honeymoon. We originally booked before last year's incident and decided we still wanted to go despite some trepidation. We're both incredibly glad we did. It was a fantastic experience - the rooms are rustic but nice, the food was superb and the views from the rooms and restaurants out of this world. There are perhaps only a couple of things to say. The hotel's website advertises it's two beaches but really there is only one. Access to the second is blocked off and there are no facilities there anyway even if you could face the long walk round inland. Secondly, we had expected to have some inclusive watersports but apart from one double kayak, there aren't any. You can try sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing etc at Jolly Beach hotel nearby but you have to pay.
Overall though these were small things. We had a wonderful time and it is a beautiful place. We felt well looked after and safe - there is a very visible security presence and we saw staff challenging anyone walking near the hotel that didn't appear to be a guest.
Definitely take a trip to Cocos if you like a laid-back holiday without any fussiness and with lots of good food.

It was the first time visiting a samll hotel but it turned out to be grate. The view from the room was breath taking espechally when the sun sets at night and in the morning the birds are on your veranda sining songs for you. While staying there we got to meet a variety of people from different parts of the world and we all got along fine. The staff is wonderful so friendly and full of smiling faces, there is nothing too much for them to do for you.The weather did us justice hot in the day and cool at nights.
But ther is one thing that outstand at cocos which keeps the guest very happy is the food and i love good food. there was such a wide variety of fruit in the morning which i have never seen before like soursup, sapadala, pasionfuit, guava, mango and its goes on . The way they cimbine food and sauce together is so grate i usually wanted more. The chef took us to a near by village where he buys his fresh fish, a wide varitey , to the kitcdhen staff grate job guyes.
There was only one misshap, at times the beach was not fully ready in the morning other than that it turned out to be a wonderful vacation.

Upon arrival at cocos, I was a little nervous. Once situated and saw the breathtaking views, we were sold! Food was wonderful as well as the service. Rooms were clean and well taken care of.
