“Not recommend it!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2014 via mobile

I personally not really like this resort. I mean the beach is beautiful and the resort is nice but the service wasn't that good. Restaurant is terrible, I could not believe how little the plates of foods were, and four tiny tiny little bowls of rice was over $6, what in the world!!! I meant common!!! Even the 5 star resort would not charge that much for just rice!
I will never come back to this hotel again!!! Ever...
Sorry but to be honest it not worth the money staying here!!! Location is terrible too!

First, I must say that the resort has nice bungalow and beach view. Breakfast is also decent and staffs are helpful. But those are probably the only good points I can see. To be honest, staying in this resort is the worst experience I've had so far. There is no door to bathroom. Bathroom is small and as I know, there is no bathtub in any other room (when we book, they said there was bathtub). Lots of mosquitoes as well.

On the second day, we went out to do some sightseeing and came back early at 2pm. We found out that our room was filled with men, who were fixing to room. Then the manager, Mr. Thien, appeared and, without any apology, told us to change to another bungalow. The point is that strangers can enter our room without any notice, and with all of our stuff still inside. What "impressed" me the most was the manager's attitude to guests. He said that we can solve it in a peaceful way by let us change the room, if we do not agree, there will be a "less peaceful" way (I thought they might kick us out of the resort?)

I understand the my case is quite accidental, and I must admit that if the resort had different manager, things would not be that terrible. Anyway, there are plenty other nice resorts in the area (Thien Hai Son, Eden, Sai Gon Phu Quoc...) so please consider carefully. If you still decide to choose Arcadia, make sure that you take care of your belongings in the room

My great niece who lives in Ho Chi Minh took myself and her mum for a two day break to this lovely place. We spent the days chilling on the beach and eating at beach restaurants, finishing off with cocktails on the beach. Bliss.

The bungalow was large and comfortable with a huge walk in shower. The only downfall was no door to the bathroom, which can be embarrassing.

Fantastic settings, we had a huge bungalow in the gardens, however the terrace faced the beach.

Breakfast is huge, loads of choice, worth waking up for.

The room was huge and so was the bathroom. Everything was super clean everyday. The gardens very well maintained and the staff very helpful.

The only problem was that there was no bathroom door!!!! It appeared that neither did anyone else's. I thought this was very strange….. not quite in that zone with my boyfriend, so a bathroom door is essential!!!

The air con isn't great either, but apart from that, perfect romantic settings.

Whatever you do, don't bother eating there… food is very average, service is comical and both times they ran out of something! Once red wine and second time RICE!!!!! However, it did make us laugh how useless it was!

Green, clean territory, friendly staff and excellent location (50 m to the sea). Private beach, providing free towels. Food in the restaurant is of low quality and expensive, especially supper. I had four shrimps in garlic and butter and steamed rice with a hair in it for 210 vnd.

I visited Arcadia with my mother in March. I visited Viet Nam second time and this country really makes me happy and healthy. Phu Quoc is just a tropical paradise.
Arcadia is a very nice hotel with really good beach in front of it.
Our room was really nice except one thing: 2 walls were windows, it was made from glass. We used curtains but it was not really comfortable. I'd advise the owner to make these windows partly transparent (people from inside can see everything outside but those who look from outside can't see what's inside).
Breakfast is good - no complaints.
Personnel is friendly and professional.
Beach is the best among nearby hotels.

Resort has a fantastic location right on the beach. The resort provides cushy beach chairs for relaxing on the beach. The resort rooms look fantastic from afar but upon closer inspection the finishing is poorly done. For example, grout for the bathroom shower is messy, doors and windows aren't aligned properly and require excessive force to close.

I can live with the poor finishing but the room I was assigned had a very bad case of mold. The front desk wouldn't do anything and I had to stay in the moldy room. I think the front desk staff's hands are tied and management is no where to be found. The mold has been there a long time but they don't do anything about it.

Room Tip: If you must stay at this resort, make sure you don't get a room infected with mold
