This hotel was in the perfect spot. It was everything I had ever pictured when thinking of Tuscany. The property is very clean. The owners do not speak English, but they are extremely friendly, welcoming, & accomodating to the best of their ability. They give you a tour upon arrival. The rooms are very cute, quanit, and rustic. They have home made jellies waiting for you as a gift, and also send you off with one. The cascades were breathtaking! The hotel even has a thermal pool on the property. It took less than 5 minutes to walk through the wooded trail to the waterfalls. The river is very shallow and easy to cross to jump in the falls. They were very warm and just lovely at sunset. The owners give excellent advice for restaurants. We went to Due CIPPI, which was pricey, but every bit worth it. They were very friendly, the food was excellent and of the region. We even saw a fox that the owner has been feeding for 2 years! For something more family friendly, I can recommend the pizza place at the end of the road before you turn left to go to the town of Saturnia. If you feel adventurous, reserve a boat trip with Paolo Il Pescatore (Paolo the fisherman) in Talamone (about an hour drive). It's worth it! I have nothing bad to say of this place.
