“A great way to experience Grenada”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2010

Having never kayaked before we decided to experience the Grenada waters with Spice Kayaking. The business has new owners, Kim and Joe and they have a great team led by Jumbo and they all want to make your experience special. We Kayaked to Hoggs island where we had a picnic lunch and an unmissable rum punch. Games were available along with great swimming, ideal for families and groups. We had a brief try at the kayak fishing but didn't catch, however Joe showed how it was done catching a snapper. The team make the whole experience fun and easy, next time we will definitely do the full fishing trip. The whole pace of the day is your own and we came away having had great fun and also having a great workout.

“Exhilirating and fun - a great way to spend the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2010

I enjoyed the tour of the island with a friendly driver on the way from the cruise terminal in St. Georges, to the marina at Clarkes Court Bay. Upon arrival with my fellow passengers, the kayaks were already lined up waiting for us and we were warmly welcomed by Kim and Joe and their friendly crew. After the safety demo, we were soon on our way kayaking around the edge of the bay by the mangroves. Jumbo was a wealth of information which ranged from nature and wildlife to sunken Cuban boats which we passed alongside. He was happy to answer lots of questions on the way.
After crossing a short channel, we arrived at Hoggs Island and pulled up to a nice small sandy beach. A few minutes later, Kim was offering the best rum punch that I have ever tasted! I was more than happy to wallow in the warm clear water and enjoy the rum punch. The sandwiches were great and provided an energy boost. After plenty of relaxation time on the beach, it was time to head back in the kayaks.
This was one of the best shore excursions that I've ever done. It's suitable for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. I can't wait to return to Grenada to try one of Joe's sport fishing kayak trips.
