If you want relxation in lovely surrounding this is the place to get it. The staff are lovely and cant do enough for you. Anyone wanting a wedding arranging here at amazing prices just needs to ask for Mr Anthony who couldnt be nicer if he tried. The friendliest people we met in Thailand.

Room Tip: Perfect for weddings

I've been to the Coco Palm Beach Resort in 2009, and i had a great time here already. But now it's even better!!!! There is a new manager here, and everything is perfect now! The staff is very nice and helpfull, everything is very clean.
The restaurant is also a lot better then the last time i was there. The breakfast, lunch and dinner is delicious!!!!!
There is also a divecenter (Divewishes & More) at the resort now, and they organise also a lot of other trips like: diving, snorkling, kayaking, kiteboarding, sailing, fishing, jetski, safari and much more. They are very helpfull and will organise the trip you will never forget! Thanks, Tom and Sue, I had the time of my life!!!! Hope to see you soon!!!

My wife and I (aged 60+) were thrilled to discover this place, as much of Ko Samui is just far too busy for our liking. Coco Palm is relatively quiet with just enough going on to keep one's interest. The beach is excellent and the swimming superb. Extremely polite vendors wander along with clothes and beads but are never pushy. Their wares are quite good value as was the foot pedicure we received.
The pool is delightful and also very suitable for a family with young children. The complex consists of a mixture of bungalows set in exotic gardens full of butterflies and birds. The lowest priced rooms were set back 100 meters from the beach and are rather basic. We upgraded to a family room which was excellent, being more spacious and nearer to the beach, bar and restaurant.
The breakfasts are good with plenty of choice – fruit, cereal, ham omlette etc. etc. but the lunches and dinners we had were disappointing both in their price and their quality. Thankfully there are plenty of much cheaper places to eat outside the hotel. We must mention Tony the director of food and beverage who really made every effort to see that we got what we wanted. We were made very welcome at all times. Ask him to sing by the way!! You are in for a surprise.
Also outside the complex there are places for massage, a minimarket and joy of joys a couple of laundrys.
The resort is next to the jetty for the ferry to Koh Tau and also the mainland (twice a day).
There was, sadly a sunbeds issue while we were visiting. Guess who gets up early wit their towels!
If we were visiting the island again we would certainly consider using Coco Palm again and recommend it highly.

We( my wife and I )spend 4 days in a bungalow deluxe; enough space, very quiet and clean, with a nice terrasse in front
People are really helpfull and friendly; they respect your own timing ( late sleeping), laundry has ben done witin a day
The beach is beautiful and still genuine in a less crowdy area of Koh samui
The restaurant is <on the beach >, and Tony, the manager, very friendly and efficient, pulls the service by a high level of quality

We recommand this hotel witout restriction

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2010

We stayed at the cocopalm beach for six nights during the first half of December 2010. We are a family of five (13, 10 and 1 year old chidlren) and we chose the family bungalow based on a friend's recommendation. The room we got was indeed spacious for us but a bit far from the sea shore and the swimming pool. When we asked if we could move to another villa much closer to the beach, we were told that they are currently performing massive renovation near the pool and recommend staying as far as possible from this area. The representative of the owner told us that they were planning to finish the renovation a week earlier but due to the storm, all work was delayed by one week. He truly felt sorry for any discomfort we might have due to the work and said that if we wish to leave he would understand this and would not charge us for any cancellation fees. Since the resort was virtually empty at that time (around 15 villas were occupied out of 100) we asked if we could move to the pool villa at not extra charge. He agreed and we moved to the pool villa at no extra cost. Whenever possible, I'd really recommend the pool villa. It has much more privacy compared to the other ones and it is spacious enough for a family of 5.

The two rooms we've stayed at the cocopalm were clean. There was a small refrigerator, a safe deposit box and the air-condition worked fine. There is WiFi coverage all over the resort at no extra cost.

Since the resort was almost empty during our visit, the restaurant was closed. Breakfast was served every morning to our villa at no extra charge.

One of the reviews mentioned that there were no appropriate signs pointing to the villas and it was quite easy to get lost in the maze. He also said that it was not well lit during night time and he felt un-secure. Indeed there were no signs and you had to guess your way for the fist time (or just look at the map in the reception and find your villa). The receptionist also offered a flash light. I did not feel un-secure at any place in Koh-Samui and specifically not in the Cocopalm beach resort. I've visited many places and found that Thailand is on of the safest places a tourist can go.

The Cocopalm beach resort is located in a quiet and un-spoiled area of the island. If on the other hand you are looking for a central place near all the bars and restaurants, go and book an hotel in Chaweng !!
I recommend renting a motorbike or a car if you want to go to sea other places in the island. Apart from the beach, a supermarket, a laundry and a few restaurants there is not too much to do in that area.

Not everything was perfect. Apart from the swimming pool area that turned into a construction area during our visit (but hey, we spent most of the time in our private pool and did not mind too much about the main pool. And there is also the beach) there were two other issues. We called the resort a few days before our arrival and arranged a pick-up from the airport. When we arrived to Koh-Samui, no one was waiting for us ! Fortunately, we did not wait too much and called the resort as soon as we understood there was a mis-understanding. A driver was dispatched immediately. We were charged 500 Baht for the pick-up. I believe it is a reasonable price for the distance between the resort and the airport. On one of the days the tap broke and the bathroom was immediately flooded with water. We called the reception and explained the problem, we also stressed that water were pouring on the floor and it is truly urgent to send someone. Following two minutes, a person arrived to our villa with two bottles of water. Apparently they understood that we ran out of drinking water and are desperately thirsty  .

Hotel staff at the cocopalm beach were extremely helpful. They helped us with car rental, ordering pizza by phone (…) and giving tips on the island.

This leads me to the language issue. Most Thai people have basic to very basic English. Even at hotel and resorts' reception their English is limited. (Well, English is not my mother tongue either…). Anyway, there is no point in getting upset every time the guy at the reception, the taxi driver or the waitress at the restaurant does not really understand you. You are on vacation, the food is great, the sun is shining and people are smiling. Enjoy it. Don’t complain that every thing is not exactly like home.

Great beach - so clean, lovely pool area, nice bar with a happy hour, very helpful and friendly staff (who isn't friendly in Thailand?) and excellent food - delicious breakfast spread and the continental dishes were fantastic too. Rooms are great - we chose the pool villa which was very nice. A very pleasant stay!!

This year has been the second year to Thailand, to Koh Samui to be precise, for my girlfriend and myself. And for the second time, we have staid at the Coco Palm Resort in Mae Nam. Why? Because it is an excellent resort, and the quality of the service compared to the prices as well as the ideal location worths it. We were in the bungalow N° 220, close to the swimming pool. Very clean, this bungalow has been renovated, and everything worked properly (AC, minibar, lights, safety box... ). We love the huge garden of the hotel, the pool, the beach... The staff has been very courteous and compared to last year, you can see that the owners are putting all their efforts to improve the standards of the quality of the service. We had a very good tariff (it is the low season), including breakfast. If you are looking for a quiet location, away from the messy Chaweng or Lamai, go to the Coco Palm Resort, and you will see...
