I have lived in code for a 3 months. I needed a comfortable and peaceful place to work. Here are a lot of reviews already about how great code is and that is all true. But i would like to write about negative aspects of long term living in there.
--- Internet. They have only one channel of internet which is separated to several routers. One channel for the whole complex of 40 apartments + all their office and lobby computers. As a result some of the routers cant handle traffic and drop the connection all the time.
In addition to that, their previous IT guy was that "good" that he put antennas 30m from a rooms on a parking lot and 3rd and 4th floors of complex had no internet at all. Gladly whole 3 month they were trying to fix the problem, cause there was not only me who were whining about that.
In a mean time they made routers on each floor, but still have only 1 channel of internet. But they promised to make 3 channels in a future. And when they promise they always do, but it may take a while :]] .
-- Location. Well lets start that complex situated inside of a jungle on a mountain. Bad thing about that is that all the action goes on Chaweng / Lamai / BoPhut and it is 25km from our place. Same amount from supermarkets BigC / Tesco / Makro.
Good thing is that 7/11 is pretty close and on the shore of BangPo beach situated 6 restaurants with a pretty democratic prices (3 to 4 times lower than in Code) and great food quality. Same with laundry and massages, quality is the same, but price is 4 times lower.
Overall i would still say that it is one of the greatest places on the island to live. Remarkable view, hilarious rooms, flawless service, infinity pool, great food. So if u can afford it - afford it !
