“Great Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

If you are after a relaxing spot away from the hustle and bustle this is a good spot. Located away from town and high up on a hill it's has a lovely view and atmosphere. We had a great time and the staff are wonderful. Overall we had a great time and loved the location, I would recommend this to couples and those after a place to unwind and relax.

We took up an offer from Deals.Com to stay at a luxury five star resort on the amazing island of Koh Samui. It read great and the resort will throw in an upgrade to our room, two hours of spa treatments per person, breakfast each morning, a free cocktail each evening and lunch with the offer for either five nights or seven. Too good to be true!! yep it sure was.. when we got to the resort the view was spectacular. We were absolutely taken away with the sight before our very own eyes and were so excited at what our first glances of the resort where. We were shown to our room which we had to be taken by a golf buggy as the resort is situated on a massive hill and slops very steeply (not for the faint hearted). The room was amazing with a living area upstairs and sleeping area downstairs over looking your own personal infinity pool with spectacular views from both.. We thought, jackpot.. after a while in the room the musty smell hits you, hence the oil burners in the rooms. The rooms where tired in need of a good paint and overhaul. Our friends pool had black mould that looked like it had been there for some time. We headed for the main pool to meet up with our friends. This is when we noticed the gardens were in great need of looking after with a prune here and a mow there. The pool, I will say had spectacular views but absolutely no shade and not an umbrella in sight. If you are a sun worshiper this would have been ideal, but, for us who are sun conscious this was a no go zone. The restaurant was very average with no atmosphere or absolutely no décor as it was fully open with no walls. This is great as we know the weather is beautiful in Koh Samui, until it rains and being on a hill the wind bellowing through. How many times we witnessed the tables being cleared in one swoop by the wind. The staff where so friendly and tried to be as helpful as they could, unfortunately they have been given little training in hospitality or knowledge of five star service. Our food when ordered for lunch or dinner was always served cold and never consistent at a five star quality. We had to wait for dinner on one occasion nearly an hour, there were six people at our table and one other couple, and the food was stone cold. Friends who travelled on the same deal but opted for the five night stay decided to stay the extra nights with us as one of them fell ill. They spoke to the manager for a rate. We were shocked that they were given an upgrade to a penthouse suite at a much cheaper rate than what we received on our deals.com voucher for the extra nights..is this how they run a resort and business and then ask when we depart see you again.. mmm don't think so. We were charged an extra 100AUD a night (High season charge) for our room and the reception staff could not give a explanation that was credible. We had to find out from another hotel the reason. The resort is also situated away from any decent restaurants and bars so you need to rely on taxi's, which is fine in most cases, but not here. We were being charged taxi rates equivalent to Australian prices and told by the taxi drivers that they only use meters for locals. How can you argue when you are so far away from anything. You ask why we didn't complain whilst we were at the resort, there English was extremely poor and the manager was hardly around to speak to. It is such a shame that there where so many facets to this resort that let it down. It is definitely not a five star resort, I would say if it was honest in it's advertising and costing's to a three star rating, that would be realistic and not let us down so much. Sorry Infinity you have a product that you are selling but cannot deliver.

it was our first trip to Koh Samui and it took me a long time to find the right accommodation as we are are family of 4 with a 13 and 19 year old. After reading trip advisor reviews we decided to go with Infinity Residences and we were not disappointed. The residences are made up of individual apartments some with there own small plunge pool. We stayed in a two bed apartment for 4 nights with the most spectacular views. The apartment is a self serviced apartment with a fully functional kitchen, dining room, living room a master suite, a separate guest suite, a balcony and a small plunge pool. The apartments are fairly new, modern with large windows throughout clean and spacious.
My only criticism of the apartment was that the guest suite was open plan ie the toilet and shower is in full view therefore not ideal for a brother & sister sharing a room, therefore as the Master Suite was slightly more private we gave that to the children.
The daily breakfast was very simple omelette station, bread, fruit, cereal and some local food, however there is a 7/11 at the bottom of the hill where you can buy groceries.
The resort is located on a steep mountain but buggies are available at a phone call to take you to the breakfast area and lobby as and when required. We hired a car for 1000 Bhat a day, money will spent as we saved on taxis and were able to see the island at our own leisure.
The staff were very friendly and hospitably and nothing was too much for them, they realised it was our first time advising us on taxi fares and where to go and what to avoid. The resort is quite new so the spa services were limited but they hope to be fully functional by the end of the year.
Fisherman's village is a short drive and well worth a visit with a good variety of restaurants and shops, Friday is market day and lots of bargains to be had.
Will defiantly go back it was an amazing experience for us all. Thanks to all the staff at Infinity keep up the good work

Room Tip: make sure you get a room with a view as the views are picture perfect.

Have just spent 5 nights staying at this wonderful resort. I went with a girlfriend. It was so nice having our own bedrooms. King size beds, en suites, TV in each bedroom. Full kitchen facilities for those who would like to cook whilst being away. The most we did was make a cup of tea or coffee.
Sitting outside enjoying the view with a glass of beer was great. There is nothing to do there but rest, swim and enjoy a cocktail. There is no shop. I had two massages, have had better. The massage room is just a hotel room. I do understand that they are going to build a proper spa treatment centre. The food was nice. went to restaurants on the beach that were nice. Due to the 2 kilometer driveway, you are driven there and back by the hotel employees. No problems, probably waited 5 minutes for them to pick you up at the 7 11 store. The plunge pool is great. There were a couple of mozzies so bring some spray. Overall the holiday was relaxing. The views amazing.

Room Tip: We were upgraded. It was a 2 storey, 2 bedroom, lounge, kitchen etc.

I am very impress that i chose infinity. The room is very big, including kitchen, living room with a big sofa, soft and clean bed, with very big bathroom. The private pool is also awesome to see the seaview. What a good trip!

On behalf of my party of 4 , I would like to thank Stephan & his fabulous team,
in making my 50th Birthday & 28th Wedding anniversary a special week to remember.
I celebrated in style back on 6th July to 14th July.
I would like to thank the beautiful Air, Alex , Luca for their assistance advise in our special stayin "Koh Samui". From the onset We were pleasantly greeted with a beautiful smile & champagne. The Resort was perched up almost in heaven with splendid views to the Northern coast. The rooms are definately what you would expect in Monaco without the price tag.
Our 3 Bedroom apartment was huge & modern with simplistic decor.Infinity pool just magic
with amazing views
We were extremely happy with the deals.com package but if the package included dinner in-lieu of lunch it would be definately been a plus. Many people complained about the steepness
of the road to the resort, but I found it a great way to get some cardio in. Unfortunately the Gym is not operational yet, but you can gain access to a good Gym at"The Centura Grand" for about $AUS 6. Overall we will definately be back not only for the resort, but the warm & kindness of the staff. Thank you Infinity

Thank you to infinity resort and all staff. Our trip was just amazing. Your resort is simply stunning. The views, the rooms just breath taking. Food amazing, staff couldn't do enough for you.
We purchased the deal on deals.com. Great value for money. I can never decide where to go or what resort to stay in. This deal made it easy, like to purchase accomodation, food, and spa as a package. Would love to see this deal again in near future. Will highly reccomend to family and friends. Also would love to go back.
Only thing about the location is you can't walk anywhere. But the views are worth it. The resort can drive you where you would like to go. Not a problem. Remember to ask for a mobile phone at reception if you go out, they provide these for guests. You can call them when you want to be picked up. As most taxis won't drive up the mountain. No problem for us, mobile was a great idea. We would catch a taxi to the 7/11 then call infinity to pick us up.
Also paid for a 4 hr tour with infinity. You get a private car and staff member to show you around the island. This was great. Driver lovely. Staff can help with anything - lovely staff member helped book me into have my teeth whitened. I just looked at reviews on tripadvisor to pick a dentist. Over the moon with results.
Staff also helped with our room. The first night our room was under restaurant. It was really noisy. Could here every chair move. We mentioned it in the morning, and they moved us by lunchtime . Our new room was amazing, private, JUST PERFECT. Room 42ur.
Once again thank you, thank you, thank you.
we really had the best time.
Hope to see you again one day.
Will keep a lookout for any package deals you do in the future.
Ok - if your still reading this.
Book this resort, you won't be sorry.
Thank you infinity.
