“A New Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2011

I booked this because it was new hotel that by the time we arrived would have been open for 6 months, long enough to get over the teething problems but still new enough to be in very good condition with up to date facilities. I wasn't disappointed. Beautiful reception/communal areas, fantastic indoor and outdoor swimming pools, very nice large rooms. Lots of choice with food - huge range of salads and hot food too. Almost too much choice - who needs to chose from 4 red meat dishes and 3 chikcen dishes each night. I would have liked perhpas to see less choice and better quality. Although having said that most food was very tasty.

We went on two trips. the boat trip - overcrowded, very (and I mean very) noisy with two lads serving drinks but also dressing up in madonna gear and doing some very strange things. Another trip to Temple of Apollo was wonderful. what a treasure that they do not realise they have.

I took my husband on this holiday - he had never been to Turkey before so I wanted to make sure that the hotel was clean and new. It was and he really enjoyed it. would I go back again? For a bargain early or late season maybe but there are so amny other places in the country to see so maybe maybe not!

Room Tip: Don't ask for a double bed - they tend to be much smaller rooms.

The hotel was very swanky, our room got cleaned everyday, no problem with staff- no one was rude to us or pervy! One guy in charge of the sun loungers seemed a bit militant but hey we are only human (and you did insist on unstacking those loungers)......food was out of this world- so much it was overload- fantastic buffet everyday and not exactly the same, remember you can go to the other 3 restaurants as well, plus the snack bar open most of the day and the pancake hut......greed! Secluded beach was amazing and the hotel clearly stood out (literally) as the best in the area. The entertainment is poor but you know its an all inclusive bar so you dont need to watch it!

I have just returned from a weeks holiday and i must agree with the majority of the reviews. Venosa is visually nice but the staff are rude and not very friendly. On checking in we didnt even get a welcoming, we were given a key and that was it. On another occasion when we were trying to get another key for our room at reception, we are greated by a sour faced receptionist who didnt even say hello and we were the ones to ask what was wrong with her! She then told us she was having a bad day!!
The staff seem to have no training and management werent any better. My friend nearly fell on a spillage while a group of managers looked on and continued to smoke, never moving from their chairs.
Thank God for good friends who made this holiday great!
Wont be returning anytime soon.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor have a bigger balcony

We have just returned from a week at the Venosa Beach and I would like to write an honest report for anyone thinking of going there. The actual Hotel and facilities are fantastic, the bedrooms are very spacious and the Hotel itself is lovely. However there are no bathtubs in any rooms which for us was a bit of a let down. The maids only replace towels and make the beds, they do not clean anything at all.

The food whilst plentiful is very repetitive and as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere you are really stuck and have to eat there all the time.

There is a dolmus bus outside of the hotel with a very good service (every 15 minutes) but it is at least 15 minutes till you get to Altinkum - AND! There are very few shops to be found and for us that was a great disappointment.

The staff are very helpful but there are only a few who can speak English. There is no ready information at the hotel on where you can go, weather forecasts and any information at all.

THE ENTERTAINMENT IS ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL BORDERING ON 'BLUE'. We only went in once and that was once to often.

Overall we did have a nice time because we met some lovely people, but without their company it would have been disastrous (in the evenings). When it was raining there was no entertainment at all and it was very boring.

The spa facilities are lovely and we had a massage which was great and very reasonably priced. The indoor pool was also a bonus.

Would we ever go there again - NEVER.

To be fair this hotel should be listed as 3* and that in our opinion would be a true rating.

We stayed as a couple begining of October. Weather was excellent apart from 2 days of rain. Lovely modern hotel, great room with lovely sea view from balcony, room cleaned daily with fresh towels and the maid that cleaned our room 1704 was very good. We enjoyed the food in the restaurant, with a good selection of both hot and cold foods. The a la carte was a bit rushed but very nice. Some of the staff are perhaps a little inexperienced but overall we found they were helpful. We had no language problems. The only downside was the lack of entertainment in the evenings as there was nothing much to do in or near the hotel. However a dolmus runs every 15 mins from outside the hotel to Altinkum, 1.75 turkish lira. As the hotel has just opened this season some small issues should be rectified by next season. We would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room on 7th floor quieter with excellent views over the bay.

Worst holiday ever!! Staff are extremely rude,,, very pervy!! Rooms are not cleaned, food was just awful same food night after night!! Went down for breakfast to just have toast there was no butter so I asked a waiter if I could please have some butter, he then came across very rude, he told me breakfast finishes in 15mins so no I can't have any,, he then continued to look at my fiancee boobs!! Pervy git!!! You will only get served at the bar if you are a woman!! I was ignored at the bar for 10 to 15 mins while the bar staff where flirting with the woman!
As for the rooms in appearance they are lovely but the rooms don't get cleaned everyday and we did not get a fresh bottle of water in the mini bar as expected.

This hotel would benefit from an information booklet that told you that you can get free wifi, we only found this out from other guests.. They will charge you for everything they possibly can so be aware that if you do use anything that is outside of the all inclusive it will cost you the earth..

Honestly, if you are like myself I enjoy a good cocktail on my holiday don't go here as they have a choice of two that are horrible and you have no idea what is in them.. The all inclusive drinks only stretch to wine, beer, vodka and whisky!! So if you don't drink any of them then your out of luck!!

I have traveled globally and this is by far the worst all inclusive hotel I have ever stayed in for options drinks, service and food!!

I want to keep this short and easy to read -
Entertainment was TERRIBLE! One ''Family'' show spoke about sex, mocked homosexuality and spoke about smoking marijuana - The rest of the evenings the entertainment was non existant. I spoke to the entertainments manager about this he is just arrogant and cocky!
Food was ok but was the same most days - Nothing ever seemed to be hot - One morning my boiled egg was totally raw and anther evening chickwn was pink. They advertise 4 resturants in fact there are 2 1 ala carte (dont waste your time) and the normal resturant.
50% of the staff have no common sense and need training they sit there smoking instead of entertaining the children and one staff member in the resturant took my plate because i reached for my drink, tables where left dirty even when it was packed in there!
Building is beautiful!
And spa is amazing!! This includes the girls that work in there they work very hard.
