Shameful! To arrive with your children all the way out in Didim after planning for months your summer holidays' only to be told sorry but we have given all the villas out and no chance for you to stay here. Being stuck in a room altogether and told to get out on the next day because that too is rented! Horrid! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Arrived on Saturday 24th September, only to be informed that the regular bus to and from the resort, and the bar/snack bar had now closed for the season! That left us with no alternative other than pay 50TL for a return trip to eat or shop. The site, while beautifully positioned above the small bay, is isolated to say the least. Not so bad during the day when you can stroll down to the sea, but it's quite scary at night if you're not in a car. We could not fault the accomodation on any level as we didn't experience water or power cuts during our stay, and having plenty of individual space(bathrooms and terraces) was a definite plus. As we were also the only 4 people at the pool most days, getting an unbroken sunbed wasn't a problem, but I could certainly see that it could quickly become one if it was busy. If you're looking for a fun filled holiday in the thick of things, then this isn't for you. But alternatively,if you want a complete break from the "rat race",hire a car, stock up at the supermarket with local produce and a few bottles of vino, and you've cracked it!

Booked this as write up stated 2km from Altinkum Centre when in fact it was actually 10km by car or bus.
Villa complex is very nice however snack bar is never open and each time we went to bar for a drink we could not find the bar manager the majority of the time and after waiting 20mins went back to our villa and opened our own.
Nowhere to talk to other than down to the small beach that does not have any sand but the sea was lovely and you can walk out very far.

After spending 50 lira a day on taxi's into altinkum and back to meet our family who were 16km away (although we were told they were only 1 mile away) it worked out expensive over the 14 nights.
Jeep Safari fantastic, waterpark in Kusadasi great for kids
Would definately go back but to somewhere much closer as Altinkum is great

I stayed at Beach Villas with my wife and two children. It is basically in the middle of nowhere (try Google map if you can find it, or alternatively ask the travel agent for precise location) . As such a car with a very good sense of direction are essential (there are no maps and we got lost on the first day). The apartments are large and roomy. However given the remote location water and electricity are intermittent (yes its true). There is a bar and a restaurant at the complex. However the food is very basic. The nearest decent restaurant is 20 minuteness drive. While staying there we came across a lot of very disappointed people who like myself were led to believe it to be a 5 star venue. 2 to 3 star is more like it. So if you don't want to be hugely disappointed like we were give this one a definite miss. You can draw your own conclusion as to why some of the reviews appear so good!

I'm just back from my 2nd family holiday here but I didn't write a review after the first trip 2 years ago. After hearing some of the reviews from last year I only thought it fair to write a positive review after this years holiday.
It is true the villas are 10 minutes drive from the hussle, bussle, noise and holiday hipe of Altinkim so don't book these villas expecting loads of action. The villas are set in Imbay Bay 2km from the new exclusive Marina with a small beach 100-200m from site. This beach is local, not lined with sunbeds but the water is shallow, clear and WARM. Perfect for family bathing.
The villa complex is under new management this season and complex was quiet and relaxed during our stay. Villas are spacous , clean and aircoditioned.
Our rep from Artemis Travel was called Martin who was onsite most days and was very helpful, giving good advice for our planned day trip up to Pamukale amongst other queries we had.
I would recommend these villas for families but make sure you know that the location is quieter and out of town. From reading previous reviews I think some of the big holiday companies could improve on the description of the villas. I found the www.artemistravel.co.uk accurate.
We had a hire car which made everything very accessible and although I would reccommend it , it is not necessary as there is a bus service to town for a small fee (we didn't need it). There is a bar and small shop on site so you'll never be stuck unless you arrive middle of the night.

Upon first arrival we all though OMG !! what have we let ourselves in for.
Isolated isn't the word, the villas are found after a 20 minute drive down a dirt track/road past abandoned villas etc with nothing around not even a street light

That said, Once we got over the initial shock

Our villa was lovely, spacious, clean and the furniture was very high quality.
That said It could of done with some tables, chairs and sunbeds on the 2 upper balconies,

We did have a couple of minor problems with the villa, the main one being it gave a electric shock out when you were in the shower or touching metal BUT once the rep (Martin) found out about this we had workmen there fixing the problem within an hour.

The pool is clean and gets tested everyday, loads of sunbeds spare but not enough umberellas,

There's a small shop and bar on the complex which was handy, The shop was small and quite expensive so I'd recomend shopping at the Carreforre supermarket in Didim. But the shop stocked everyday items .. bread, milk, beer, water etc if you ever run short.
The shop owner was very friendly and would go out of his way to help and if you needed something he didn't have tell Tanya (his assistant) and they'd get it for the next day.

Lager from the bar is reasonable enough but drinks such as whiskey, vodka etc were very expensive. The bar also has free wifi

The only thing which lets these villas down is the location, It's advertised has being on the edge of town (IT IS'NT) it's a good 20 minute drive to civilisation
No shop or restaurant is within walking distance, You do get a courtesy bus which will pick you up at 10am, drop you in Altinkum and pick you back up at 3pm. It also runs you from the villas to Altinkum at 8pm but you have to make your own way home.
Most restaurants run a free bus service, It may seem cheeky but use them otherwise it'll cost a fortune in taxis 25 - 30tl (£10 - £12) each way.

Martin the rep was very helpful and went out of his way to sort any problems.
We had a great holiday which was only let down by the location. The people are friendly, the weather was red hot and i'd return tomorrow now I know what to expect

just arrived back from a brilliant relaxing holiday.villas very good but not luxurious as described could have done with more chairs on upstairs ballconies and sunbed on rooftop. but clean bright and spacious and had everything else we needed.
first impressions having arrived early hours of the morning we were in the middle of no where.
After seeing it in daylight and speaking to rep all seened much better.
Lovely bay just at bottom of hill with shallow waters. On site pools clean and water checked.plenty of sunbeds butcould have done with a few more umbrellas 2nd week when temperature increased.
The shuttle bus could have done with doing more trips however there were plenty of resaurants that offer a car service. Some to look out for our those who will pick up in the day as well. Our favourite was sultans and kings in Altinkum who do the most amazing food.you can use there sunbeds and umbrella on a foating platform on the sea as long as you have a drink. The food is so good and the staff so friendly when we went we always ate as well.We went on a boat trip for only £10 which included lunch.I would also reccomend trying the sucky fish treatment excellent value for over half an hour includes a foot massage all for 25 lira.
If you want a relaxing holiday and don't mind not being within walking distance of shops and bars then i would recommend you give it a try.
We found everyone to be very friendly and even though you get asked to come into thier restaurants, shops etc it was not over the top and they accepted you saying no.
We would go again.
