“Middle of a forest, but close to the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2013

As soon as we entered, I thought we were in the wrong place. It was just so beautiful and even better than I imagined. You are hidden away off this little road and I felt like we were in the middle of a rainforest, yet you have the beach 5 minutes away. We had mopeds so it was easy to get around but if you don't its a 5 min walk to the main road. The pool and spa were amazing. There is no wifi in the rooms though, so you have to sit down at the open-air lobby to use internet. Prepare yourself with tons of bug spray if you want to use internet at nighttime - although the sounds of the forest make up for it. The rooms are huge and we loved the modern design. Lots of bugs though and had lots of geckos sneaking into our room. We got a free breakfast which only had three choices - egg sandwich, toast, or museli. We had a family of 5 and only got breakfast for 2 which was kind of a let down. If you want breakfast for extra people it is 100 baht or so. The food was bland and such a small portion that we gave our kids the food and went without. The atmosphere of the hotel was incredible and made up for the minor inconveniences. I would absolutely recommend this hotel, and will be staying here again if we ever go back to Samui.

my husband and I had orignally booked a room at this hotel for just two days, after only one day we both decided to stay another 2 days. The rooms are clean, beds are unique and comfy after a long day of walking. The bathroom's are CLEAN and huge. very close to the beach, dinning and shopping all within walking distance. They provide motorbike rentals right at the hotel of those not to keen on walking. The staff will go the extra mile to put a smile on your face. the pool and spa are amazing and well kept. The gardens are very well done and very well taken care of. this is by far the best hotel we stayed at the entire time we were in Thailand. will deffently be back!

It was the perfect exotic experience. Beautiful pool, nice, big rooms, polite service. I definetely recommend renting a scooter while staying there.
I would only change the choice of breakfast, starting every morning with egg sandwich or jam was a bit boring.

We'd read mainly good reviews on this hotel and can only imagine that the couple of bad ones were very old.

Everything from the jungle like setting to the cool contemporary design of the general areas and the rooms were a nice treat for the budget we were on.

It's not a huge hotel so never overcrowded and we quite often had the pool to ourselves. The photos didn't do the pool justice, being set in the middle of all the trees and sounds of wildlife made it really tranquil (also the cleanest pool we've seen in Thailand so far!). The oversized deck chairs are a great addition as well as the pretty spa reached by a trail of stepping stones amongst the trees.

The lobby area is also cleverly designed as a reception/seating/breakfast area/chill out area with big comfy bean bags which was a great place to chill out when it rained or to use the wifi. They also have a huge selection of DVDs and books to borrow.

The hotel is run by a lovely family and the staff were all really friendly and happy to help when they could. Providing an Aloe Vera leaf for a sun burnt guest, giving lots of directions and recommendations, calling round to rent us a car/bike as well as lending us a DVD player (as our mountain room didn't come with one).

There are 3 wifi signals you can join, reception, pool and mountain (for the rooms.. Which aren't not literally up a mountain!) So we generally always had a good connection.

Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable with a good sized balcony.

Location wise it is a 5 minute walk to a 7 Eleven and also a local food market that sells really good, cheap food. Or 10-15 min walk to the fishermans village which although more expensive and touristy has a nice beach and loads of restaurants and bars.

We highly recommend this little haven.

Yes, it is a bit far from the happening area but if all you need is rest and a place to feel at peace, this is the perfect place to go. There's a big pool surrounded with trees. Rooms are huge, well kept and private. Toilets are huge too. Bags and towels are provided for outside hotel use. Aside from the friendly and helpful receptionist, what i love most is the spa. Its just fantastic. although it is complimentary, they treat us like any other customers. In fact, we were given the priority despite the number of clients they have for the day. Definitely recommended. By the way, they have cozy hotel lobby where u can read the books free and use the internet for free too. My friends and i really had a great time here. However, i suggest that if you know how to drive u better rent a car so its easy to move around Koh Samui.

It's well-designed, resort is a great budget way to experience the kind of tranquility usually associated with luxury spa resorts, for which you can easy pay five to ten times more than The Sundays.

It's not luxury, but it makes great use of the space. Very nice swimming pool, spacious villas/bungalows, and it's pretty stylish in its class.

Only ten minutes' walk (fifteen minutes' stroll) from Fisherman's Village and close to convenience stores/hypermarkets in the other direction.

Friendly staff (and dogs) too.

It helps to have your own transport so you can get Round and explore the island.

We had our stay at Sunday for a night, it was amazing and comfort. We were regret we only had 1 night there. It was a great place to relax and relief stress. It is value for money, for sure you can't find a better hotel than this. The hotel lobby is comfy, we can hang there to relax and using wifi for free. The staff is helpful and friendly too. Due to the hotel location is quiet isolated, traveller should rent a motor bike or car if choose to stay there.
