My wife & i stayed at the Bandara Beach Resort & Spa in October this year & it was the best & most relaxing holiday we have ever had, the hotel is located on the beach about 5 minutes walk away from Fisherman's Village which has several bars, restaurants & shops.

We had the Superior Room which is the lowest priced room, it was great & the bed was so comfortable.

The hotel is really in a perfect location, the staff just can't do enough for you, the breakfast is fantastic, the beach bar happy hour is from 5 till 9, the food in the beach side restaurant is fantastic & the prices compare to any of the local restaurants, for example - about £5 for a fantastic Thai Curry.

The beach is lovely too & the beach vender's are so friendly, with great personality, do great food, fresh fruits, ice creams, all sorts of goods & are not pushy at all, they really made for great days on the beach.

The only negative point we have was the price of a Bottle of Wine everywhere, Thailand have a Luxury tax on wine so it tended the make a very inexpensive meal, expensive if you wanted wine.

We'll certainly be back to this hotel in 2014.

I stayed in this hotel in November for 4 nights, I got a discounted rate due to construction work but we could not see any signs of construction anywhere in the hotel. I came to koh samui on boat, From the time they pick you(if you request that) to the time they bid you farewell you experience an unmatched hospitality.
The resort is beautifully constructed and has a very relaxing environment. It has very well kept lawns and ponds with small fish in it. They have 2 pools on the beach, one large pool in the center and one kid's pool. Pools water is warm, plenty of relaxing chairs and they have a pool bar along it. They have a water sports activities for free for guests which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly. Always smiling...
What I got most impressed was their efficiency. I first day I noticed three little problems in my room, the balcony door's lock, the fan and the shower had a little problem. I called the maintenance and within 10 minutes there is a guy in the room and he fixed/changed all those things in another 10 minutes.
The breakfast buffet had plenty of options, and the food was always very delicious. There beach restaurant serves very delicious foods. I wanted Halal food so inquired them, their chef came and brought with him the frozen chicken packet with halal stamped on it by Islamic Society of Thailand. The Spa services that they have were expensive I thought so did not try that and I felt there were some mosquitoes but for that they gave me an electrical mosquito repallant on my request that helped.
I loved my stay at bandra infact me and my wife believe it to be the best part of our bangkok, phuket and koh samui trip. I would love to come back here whenever I come to thailand.

We picked this resort on a recommendation from a friend for being family friendly and in a great location. The hotel is nice and the breakfast is lovely. The pool area is also great, we especially loved the shady cabanas by the main pool.

Our only disappointment is the lack of a babysitting service for children under 1yr old, as we had intended to have a couple of nice nights out without the little one in tow. Unfortunately the hotel won't provide a sitting service for a sleeping child even when we want to eat in one of the hotel restaurants and would be less than 5mins away. We have been at other hotels in Thailand when our daughter was younger and have had no problem getting a sitter.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone with babies for this very reason.

Stayed at Bandara, Bophut Beach, beginning October this year for one week. The weather was hot and a little humid but no rain. Very spacious/comfortable/clean room, third level, large balcony overlooking the pools. There are several different pools with surrounding gardens beautifully kept. We sunbathed by the pool near the beach and pool bar/restaurant where the view was spectacular of the beach/sea/islands. Enjoyed the cocktails and the food. The restaurant food was excellent. Cocktail night was well worth going to, but the Thai night in the restaurant was spectacular - the amount and choice of food was amazing - all freshly made/cooked in front of you and great value - highly recommend that evening. The staff everywhere in the hotel were so helpful and friendly. The position of the hotel is good - a quiet location but only a short walk to Fishermans Village where there are many excellent restaurants/bars/shops/tailors etc. Paradise!

We have just returned from 10 days at Bandara, a bit longer than we would normally stay at one resort therefore we had concerns about "what if it is not up to standard".

We should have not worried the level of service across the whole hotel was excellent from James the manager who took us out personally to try and find a particular carving to Tan in the breakfast resturant who went out of her way to make our stay special.

We stayed in a pool villa well worth the extra, the room courtyard being totally secluded. The plunge pool cleaned daily was a joy after a walk to the fairly close Fishermans Village.

The food was well prepared and presented in the beach resturant, the view from the resturant to the mainland/islands was beautiful. The breakfast was outstanding with incredible choice.

All the pools were very clean, the beach pool with gentle sea breezes was our favourite.

We took advantage of the Spa where Tim the manageress was extremely helpful even lending my wife her curling tongs on a bad hair day. The quality of the massages was as good as any we have experienced in Thailand.

We could go on but enough said you will not be disappointed if you visit this very well run hotel and spa.

Yesterday we returned from 8 days at Bandarra and loved every moment of it. The resort is beautiful and well located on the beach and near the Fisherman's Village. We stayed in a villa near the front pool and the beach. Plunge pool was used daily and made the additional charge for the villa worthwhile. The staff were absolutely wonderful, breakfast was great and our holiday overall was awesome. We would stay there again if we went back to Koh Samui.

Room Tip: We had villa 729 right on the end near the pool and beach-great room and great location. Lots of fun...

Stayed at Bandara for 8 nights in October we loved every minute of our stay the staff were wonderful Tan in the breakfast was the best stayed in the rooms at main pool, pools were lovely and clean pool staff was very quick with drinks and food, the seafood buffet were excellent.7500 baht for work being done next door ,which we didn't hear any noise at all.the cocktail party every Monday is great .Will stay there again
