We have just returned from 8 night stay as part of our 12 night Thailand honeymoon. The hotel itself is situated perfectly from the airport about 10 min drive. It doesn't look like much from the outside but once, your in its lovely. The only downside being so close to the road is if you have a room at the front it's probably noisy. We were upgraded to a deluxe room and it had a lovely feel and look and can't fault it in anyway. All the staff are lovely and give all guests welcoming smiles everyday. We would like to thank meaw our room cleaner she was fantastic.
The food is lovely and brekkie had a good selection to choose from. The restaurant by the beach is also nice with a great setting on the beach and two guys on there guitars with an amazing selection of songs to sing. We did BBQ night on Monday which had a superb selection of food. The hotel is very near fishermans village about 5 min walk along the beach to an array of bars and restaurants. There is plenty to choose from so have a good look round first before trying as some are better than others. Also download the app 'Koh Samui in my pocket' perfect for finding and choosing what you want to do. We really recommend cafe 69 about 200 yards down the road if you go left out of the hotel on the other side of the road, but go early or book as it's only small but the food is incredible. Also the beach food sellers do a good selection of lunch snacks like veg spring rolls/ papaya salad/ corn/ chicken/ prawns. All of which I'll add might look a bit iffy on the food prep and hygiene side but we ate it along with loads of others and had no issues.
The hotel are currently building new villa suites and depending on length of stay give out compensation to guests off the room bill. This did us just fine as we couldn't hear or see a thing and we had nothing to pay at the end either.
The only downside is in the evening as the hotel seems to be dead after 9pm, on returning from most nights out the light are off and it's just a bit boring really. I feel they should try and make something for the guest to enjoy in the evening. Tho one place I will recommend is only just down the beach 'co co tams' for a perfect relaxing cocktail and tunes !!
