These guys know what they are doing!
An all english team was a bit of a relief for me as I would prefer to understand everything i'm being told.
I was a bit nervous, but right from the start they were excellent. Richie, whom I met in the office, was really friendly and my instructor Karl was brilliant. This was my 1st time diving and so took a "discover diving" course.
After the 1hr-1hr half speedboat ride from the north of the island, It was two 10mtr dives in Koh Tao, and was definatly the reason that I now want to do my open water certificate. Karl was very professional but kept the whole experience fun and enjoyable.
We had two of us per instructor, which was really good for underwater communication. On the 1st dive, we had a good 35mins underwater (apparently for a 1st dive that's good!) and great visability (around 10-20mtrs). Unfortunatly the second dive only had about 5mtrs visability and although this did improve on the way down a little bit, the whole experience was not affected by this.
I am now going to do my open water certification by doing the classroom and swimming pool parts in the UK, and the actual open water dives in Koh Samui (it's really warm water) with Discovery Diving.
Look forward to learning with them again, and hopefully they will employ an Arsenal fan one day. (they are all Chelsea)
