“Great atmosphere, nice bungalows”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2011

Staff was wonderful, as where the settings and the rooms. The food on premise is pricy compared with other restaurants in the area.

We had a lovely stay. The breakfast choice at the hotel was brilliant with so many different things to choose every morning. The hotel is ideally situated next to the beach and has a great swimming pool. The hotel is lovely and clean and the staff are very friendly. A short walk along the beach brings you down to fishermans village with a huge choice of restaurants and bars. We really enjoyed ourselves and will go back.

Everything is perfect (the only shortage I can find is that the sands on this breach are not as good as those on Changwen Beach). I definitely would like to come here again.

I visited Peace resort for a 5 day stay in Samui with a partner. I knew I had done well as the taxi pulled in to the driveway. Immediately the staff were attentive with a refreshing glass of drink. I had chosen the garden bungalow but it was not available for all nights, so stayed in the deluxe wing the first night. It was so good we stayed in that room the whole time, not wanting to move into the even slightly more expensive garden bungalow. The deluxe wing room was so delightfully furnished and decorated and also included a large stone bath in the front which was lovely to use on one night with a bottle of champagne. Highly recommend the deluxe wing room. I dont understand how people say the pool area was not nice, I found it very suitable and it is very large. Even the parents with children were far enough away in the shallow end of the pool they were not annoying at all. There is more than enough pool beds and there is a nice variety there, some with more shade, some facing away, some facing the sun.

Really I could write so much more, but essentially I could not have been happier with Peace resort, and think it fantastic value for money and was just a dream stay with my partner.

If I would only have one recommendation, that would be to have wifi in the rooms, but then who wants to use computers on holidays? It would be useful for skype calls from an iphone however. Also, the computers could be improved slightly with card readers for all different cards.

My husband and me enjoyed staying at Peace Resort enormously. The service is perfect, the bungalows are stylish, generously sized and surrounded by lush plants and the location is great if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist towns. It's not too far to walk to Fisherman's Village for a bit of night life though, just 15 minutes along the beach and you're there. Staff are amazing and will look after you very well. We had a wonderful time and would certainly stay there again.

Stayed 4 nights there in Dec and everything was great, especially its staff services very helpful & accommodating. However surprised that the hotel didn't have an asian adaptor (they have many for europeans/US). I have to rush out to the mall to buy one adaptor for 70bhat but the taxi cost me 200bhat just so I can recharge my battery ~ found that incredible. Also wish the buffett breakfast table had more choices. Other than that, is a great hotel in a fabulous location close to Fisherman's Village.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Situated on Bophut beach in the northeast of the island, the Peace Resort is a newly refurbished, friendly bungalow style resort, ideal for a relaxing family getaway. The style is best described as contemporary Thai with the architecture following local traditions, but a transformation in 2008 has given a more up-scale look and feel while the prices have remained very reasonable. The resort is well laid out in small buildings, ensuring a more intimate, human scale, while the grounds are tranquil and green, with a restaurant that spills out onto the beach. ... more   less
