“Well organised, perfect for big groups”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

We used Koh Samui Tours twice during our trip to Koh Samui. We had our wedding, so a lot of family members and friends came along with us. I have organised the Big Game Fishing for boys (19 adults in two boats) through Koh Samui Tours and a Spa Day at Peace Tropical Spa for girls before the wedding.

After the wedding we had a big island safari tour (all 42 of us, including kids and grandparents!) Ron, the office manager had everything organised for us. We also got a good group discount. Everything ran smoothly. I will definitely recommend them, especially if you have a big group of people.

“Great value, fun guide”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

My husband and I did the Island safari 1/2 day tour and had a blast. The tour guide was really fun and took care of us (he referred to himself as "A" which we later found out indicated our tour group among the masses). The highlights were the elephant ride, views during lunch on mountain top, and the safari ride itself. They let 2-3 people at a time ride on the roof of the truck while going up and down mountains. While it seems really dangerous at times, you can't pass it up; plus the drivers will not let you ride on the roof on a road they know is too much for us to handle (there are no seat belts).

Definitely do this!

“Excellent Guided tour of Koh Samui”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2012

Tours Koh Samui is the sister Company of Searobin dive centre. I was diving with Searobin so I asked the Manager, Ron, if he could also arrange a private 4x4 tour for us (family of 4).

We chose to go for a private tour as, although it costs a little more, we could tailor make the trip. We didn't want to include any of the animal based attractions such as the elephant trek, Alligator farm etc.

Its also very nice to have a guide and jeep to yourself - no waiting around for other people etc.

The day was excellent. we visited temples, Grandfather & Grandmother rocks, a coconut plantation and the waterfalls. Then, a very nice lunch at the mountain top restaurant, complete with stunning views of the island. We also visited the hidden gardens. After a hair raising descent from the mountain through the jungle and more plantations, we visited the Big Buddha temple.

Our guide was very knowledgable and enthusiastic, answering all of questions and more about the Island, its people and culture as well as giving us an excellent beginners guide to Buddhism.

Our driver performed heroics - getting his jeep up and down the off road tracks on the mountain to places I didn't think we would reach.

All in all, an excellent way to see lots of Koh Samui and learn some things on the way. The off road sections were steep and bumpy - something to consider if you get travel sick. But then the joy of the private tour is you can easily ask them to skip anything that is not right for you.

Although it does cost a little more, if you have a reasonable sized group (4 or more) the extra cost is not that much and make an enormous difference to the experience.

“Real Time booking - great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

My wife and I visited Koh Samui last week. After relaxing for a few days on the beach we decided to discover some of the neighboring islands as this trip was our first stay in Thailand. After checking reviews on trip advisor we found the website tourskohsamui.com where we found 2 tours which looked great to us. Our initial plan was visiting the Ang Thong Marine Park the following day so I finished the booking form. On the spot we got a notification that unfortunately the tour is fully booked for tomorrow. Not a problem as there was another tour we have been interested in. After placing a deposit we got our confirmation directly as well as all relevant information like what to bring on the tour and when to be ready for pick up. We visited a lot of countries in Asia and this was the first time that we made a booking for day trips in real time. Quickly filled in the form again and booked the trip to the Marine Park for 3 days in advance. Nice surprise, we received a discount for early booking.

Our first tour was a sailing cruise around Ko Phangan. The tour was simply perfect. Activities, service, the boat and the crew as well as the pick up where great and we took a lot of great pictures. Visiting this neighboring island is definitely worth a day. All the day the staff took great care of us and made sure that we truly enjoy the day.

The tour to the Marine Park also kept its promises. The landscape is stunning and the stops well timed. The day was so full of activities that we completely lost track of the time.
The experiences we made with this tour company were great as everything from the booking till the final drop of at our hotel worked stress less and reliable. If friends of ours ask what to do on Samui we will surely provide them with the contact of this company.

“Private day charter of Cristina sailing yacht - Great trip out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012

We chartered the yacht a couple of weeks ago as a highlight of our holiday. Ron the manager answered all our questions quick and friendly so we decided to go for his offer.

We got picked up on time in the morning and were brought to the pier. The boat is amazing! First the captain Luca introduced himself and then we started the trip. The level of service onboard was outstanding as Luca made sure that we feel good all the time.

The first highlight was the snorkelling at Ko Mae. We saw a lot of colourful fishes and corals. Luca told us where to snorkel so we feel like we did not miss one single spot. Then we stopped for a while for fishing. We were lucky and caught a couple of fishes which Luca included spontaneously in our lunch. It was one of the best meals we had during our whole stay in Thailand. After that we continued our journey and stopped at some niche beaches and a waterfall.

It was great as we barely saw any other tourists. On the way back we had some nice tea and snacks while watching the sun go down! What an amazing experience.

Two days later we went on the private island safari with Tours Koh Samui which was also great. Our guide Arek was very nice and professional and explained a lot about Koh Samui and the Thai culture in general.

The best on this private tour was that we could change the program according to our wishes. Beside the elephant trekking in a great elephant camp (very small, no mass tourism) we enjoyed the cable ride a lot! It gave us a whole new perspective of Koh Samui while we were flying through the Jungle.

After this exciting activity we visited the butterfly garden. It was just beautiful. One butterfly even landed on my shoulder! The day was great and we would once again like to thank Ron and his crew for these great days!
