“Nice place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2010

We stayed at Samui Pier for 4 nights and our overall experience was good.
The views from the resort are impressive, opening onto Bophut beach, however the two Pier's on either side do spoil the view a little.
The location is good, its about 15 mins away from Chaweng beach which is where most of the evening/night activity takes place. Conveniently there is a motorbike hire, tour operator, mini market and a few bars/restaurats opposite the resort.
It also about 5 mins from the big buddah.
The staff are friendly and are always available if you need any help.
The rooms themselves are fairly basic but are clean and air conditioned, however for the amount you pay for this place its expected.

If I were in Samui again, I would certainly consider staying here again.

We stayed at Samui Pier Resort for two days, just passing on our way to Koh Phangan and found this place to be an excellent stay for our short visit.
It is a bit pricey for it to get a higher ranking from us, but the staff working here made it all worth it. We travel with our 17 month old baby and he really loved it here, with the garden, the swings and the super-friendly staff who played with him all the time and therefore his parents could eat their fantastic thai food in peace.
The beach is between two piers ( as the name suggests ) and because of that- its not so nice. The location itself is between the airport and Bohput, so you have to take a taxi to get around. For a short stay I would definItely recommend this place. The food was very very good ( the breakfast mediocre though)

We stayed here for 3 nights and had the absolute beachfront room. Rooms are pretty Spartan but the view more than made up for it.

Rooms were cleaned every day and free water replenished which was most welcome.

I loved the huge and comfy and stylish hammocks.

Food was ok. My mum ordered a ham and cheese and tomato sandwhich with chips on our last night at about 9pm, just as chef was wanting to leave. He begrudgingly made them. However food was inedible. Frozen chips were half cooked!!!!! Sandwhich was missing cheese and tomato was green! Not acceptable at almost 200 baht!

I understand the resort was quiet and staff had been there all day, but as a chef myself I would never send out food that was inedible. Maybe the solution would have been to day the kitchen was closed rather than send out expensive unaccetable food

apart from that we had a very nice stay here and is extremely handy for the ferry to haad rin

Stayed here for 13 nights and did not want to leave. The staff make you feel part of the family and always up for a laugh and a game of pool. If we needed anything such as toiletries, beach towels or food, they would supply within moments. We stayed in a standard room which was having building work done behind so was woke up early each morning by noise but once we informed the manager, he was quick to move us to a better, quiet and more spacious room which also had a better view of the sea! The views are spectacular from the hotel and you are just one step away from the being on the beach and pier. Me and my partner went to the full moon party which was a brilliant experience and the boat which took us to and back from the full moon party was right at the pier, a stone's throw away. Great local restaurants and bars on the same street as the hotel so if you want to try different places, the choice is there! Also, we were able to enjoy an oil massage lying on our sun lounger overlooking the sea by the ladies from the local thai massage parlor who CAME TO US, organized by the hotel.
