We didn't stay at the hotel, but ate Sunday lunch in the restaurant on the deck. Lovely views of the beach and coastline. The pasta was freshly made - and when we couldn't decide, the waiter brought us taster portions as individual courses. Some of the best pasta we've ever had. Pasta with swordfish, pasta with prawns, very different sauces-- both cooked to perfection and divine.
Unfortunately, no room for secondi! The waiter tempted us with a chocolate souffle for a wonderful finish. The only downside was that a large reception had started, and all the servers dissapeared. Fortunately we had finished eating, but our coffees never came, and we had to seek out someone to give us the bill. After lunch we explored the recently refurbished hotel. A nice makeover, all modern and sleek, with great views and a rooftop pool. After that we took a long stroll along one of the prettiest coastlines in Salento. A perfect fall afternoon.
