Our family had just finished seeing Pisa and Lucca. We wanted to eat at a restaurant outside of Lucca on the way to Deccio di Brancoli where we were staying. After getting lost and driving throughout the hills of northern Lucca and not finding a place to eat we finally found this establishment. We almost didn't enter because the facade is that of a simple pizzeria and a few of the local elders were sitting outside smoking. Luckily, one of my sons decided to look in and waved to us to come over to the restaurant. To our surprise it was a full scale trattoria. We were the only non Italians eating there. The restaurant was packed with families. Surprisingly, the menu was written in both Italian and English. The food was excellent and our waitress was friendly and charming Our family was so happy to have found this restaurant.
