The property is located about 20 minutes up a fairly easy local road from the main road near the river. It is signposted but locating it without navigation requires some care (we missed it on our first try).
We (2 couples) had 2 Villas for 2 nights as a base for touring the Douro Valley. The rooms were quite adequate with a small kitchen area as part of a living room, a good sized bedroom (with subdued lighting which seems de rigueur in Portugal) and bathroom. There were plenty of amenities including swimming pools (heated and non-heated) plus a tennis court which mean't you could spend time relaxing at the Quinta if that was your aim.
The breakfast was quite reasonable an although we did not have dinner there, the setting was very nice.
The Quinta probably works best when you stay in for dinner. We were keen to try some local(ish) restaurants we had found so were faced with a fairly lengthy drive back each evening, but even with this restriction, I would still recommend the Quinta on a price/location basis for those touring.
There is still some building work going on in creating 7 news Villas behind the existing ones. As mentioned by other reviewers, this might cause some noise nuisance.
All-in-all a very comfortable and quite place to stay in the midst of some wonderful views.
