“Great view....ripoff on food!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 18, 2013

I've eaten at this p;lace a couple times before over 2 years ago..and had hoped they had improved..but NO. Their "famous" pastelillos are only about 1/3 filled with stuffing, the rest is just flattened, greasy, overcooked dough. Since the pastelillos are pre-prepared and frozen, they just dump them in hot oil when you order and they then get overcooked on the outside and VERY greasy. At from $4 to $4.50 apiece...NOT worth it. Overpriced beers too. They charged me $3.21 for the local beer Medalla. I went down the beach later about 200 yards and got a Medalla for $1.25

Nice ocean view..but the pastelillos...NO MORE..!!!!

“Gigant stuffed whatever”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

Right now, I dont know how to translate "pastelillos" to English, but that food is nice and stuffed with a lot of options. The place is usually crowded, but somehow comfortable and with a windy and beautiful beach view

“Nice ocean front restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2012

If you're looking for where the locals go to get a quick bite, this is the place! We went on a Tuesday, around lunch time and there wasn't a long line! The food was served hot and fast. Enjoy the ocean breeze and the hammocks are a nice treat! Watch out for the black birds, who can't wait to get what you left behind! It's a very relaxed atmosphere.

“There is always a place in Guayama”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

A place that someone will ask you about. A have you tried....
In the 80's it was Roger's sandwich place that was built in an alley in the space between 2 buildings. They served toasted sandwiches and milk shakes all home made.
The lines would go out the door and down the street.
In the 90's it was the Galleria, with the best black bean soup you could buy served with a side of rice and fine chopped onions.
Now its La Casa de Los Pastelillos. It has the same long wait to be served and a line that seems endless. The line of people are from Guayama, all over PR, Europe, and the US mainland.
The food is simple. Many ingredients are local. The staff is nice and do their best to crank it out as fast as they can. The problem as with all these places is there are busy times and times when they have no one. The staffing is balanced to deal with this, which means sometimes you wait. The bottom line is the food is good, and priced right. You can mix and match as you like to make your plate like you want. If your in the area, you should check it out.
