Kays is THE spot for all gringos wanting a bit of home...American food (try the bacon, cheese burger!) made just like home...a great lending library (english books)...social hours ( Wed. noons is a women's group)...just, overall, a great way to cure any homesickness AND meet other expats!

This is the place to go for breakfast and lunch. Kay is a wonderful cook. All the ex-pats meet here and Kay also has a library done on the honor system.

During our last trip to Atenas, we made visiting Kay's Gringo Postres a priority since we had read she serves REAL gringo food. We certainly weren't disappointed. The food was superb! I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy. Kay is a delight, and she even assigned us nicknames to help her remember our names......and she did! We ate at Kay's several times, and each time, she sat and talked with us about a variety of subjects.

Don't miss her Sunday brunch! Her baked French toast is worth the trip!

We keep going back because of the friendly atmosphere, as well as the food. Kay is there all the time and is delightful to talk to. We have met some really interesting people there and the food is fresh and delicious.
They also have free WIFI, plenty of books that you can take back to your residence and read for free as long as you return them.
All in all, if your feeling lonely for the states, a little English conversation, atmosphere and delicious American food, this is your place.
