“timnlin great staff wonderful gazpacho”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2013

wonderful week - fantastic staff so friendly and welcoming, cannot do enough for you arrived late and shooed into dining room to ensure we had something.
Small hotel and there weren't many there.
Rooms very clean and cleaned every day with new towels. A/C a tad slow but works OK. Beds comfy.
Food was pretty good, fresh fish every day, well cooked pork and chicken, lots of salads and veg and breakfasts were excellent. You must try the gazpacho!!
Wine a tad naff but only 10 euros for good bottle. Shorts plentiful and large variety. Pool will get v busy in season.
Only drawback to resort is that there are 6 hotels and nothing else apart from the entertainment at night - so no casual stroll down to a restaurant or bar to watch the world go by. Also transfer can take a long time so go for taxi when booking as cots about 25 euros then but 60 euros if you just hire tehre
Get a car and see the island, about 140 euros for the week - dead easy trip from airport.
Agete trip by car is great - fantastic view in mountains, Las Palmas is a lovely city.

Have just returned from 10days hols at this hotel and had a fantastic time.
Don't believe the bad reviews!
Room was very roomy with 2large twin beds in it, 3chairs and a patio big enough to sit on with 2 chairs and a table. Bathroom is really big, hairdryer is in bathroom but useless so take your own. Aircon was very efficient and there was a good size fridge with 2 bottles of water in it when we arrived. Some reviews say you need to have deposit for tv remote but ours was already in our room. Safe also available in room, 10€ deposit and 3€ per day hire, pool towels are 10€deposit and 1€ per day to hire and you can change them each day, deposits are to be paid in cash but the hire charges can be put on card.
No kettle in room but I brought mine with me and was able to scrounge milk from bar in lounge each evening to put in fridge, there is also a supermarket on the complex should you want to buy nibbles etc.
Restaurant is very clean and well presented and food was of a good standard with lots of choice, free wine, beer and soft drinks are on tap in restaurant.
Lunch has more variety than dinner but we were all inclusive so did the lot!!!
Pool is lovely and the pool bar is good too, staff are very attentive and friendly, we had no trouble with sun beds, always some available.
The hotel is in a bay with only a few shops and a entertainment area but we found that was ok, peurto rico is a 10€ taxi ride away and has all that you need if you like tatt. Mogan is a 6€ taxi ride away and is a very pretty village with some shops and a lovely harbour, we ate a lunch and a dinner in mogan, there is a huge market there on Fridays and the place is buzzing but stalls are quite repetitive .
We went a a jeep safari and camel trip which was 51€ and worth every penny, they picked us up in the landrover from our hotel and we went into the mountains and did some off roading in an open top landrover and you can stand up when you are off the main road. Views are amazing and quite a thrill too, lunch is included and day lasted from 08.30 till 4pm.
There is a spa in the complex which I didn't use but my friend had some reflexology there and said it was lovely.
Be careful with organised trips as someone we met went on camel safari trip and was 2hr in coach picking everyone up as our resort was the first, and then 2hrs dropping them all off again!
We had a lovely break, beautiful weather and relaxing hotel.

Room Tip: Not ground floor, we were on first floor but couldn't see sea so 2nd or 3rd would of been better...

Me and my daughter stayed here for 2wks in early september all imclusive
Arrived at 1030pm, reception was nice and friendly and asked us if we wanted an evening meal as there was food left still and kitchen staff were still there.
Rooms were lovely and spacious, good size balcony, best to be up on 3rd floor, one side of hotel has 3floors and the other has 4floors.

Meal times were fine, plenty to choose from, yes some things repetitive, bbqs were lovely.
All staff are very friendly esp amaar and brito

Pool area is a nice size, pool bar you can get snacks, lots of diff drinks and ice cream, ice lollys you had to pay for, and there was no queuing at all for a sun bed, obviously in busy summer months yes.

Free entry to waterpark and 2euros for a sunbed, snacks and drinks available from pool bar, we left our towels on th beds and walked back up to hotel for dinnertime, takes 5 minutes!

Entertainment is fine on nightimes, mini disco for kids, handing out of certificates from kids clubs and activities that the animation team did at ur hotel.

The bus to puerto rico is good to see some of the sights, much cheaper in supermarkets and shops there, cheap bus fares too, bus stop is 2minute walk from hotel,
Overall we had a lovely 2wks but a shame the hotel is going to be adults only from this oct/nov :(

We are not long back from 11 nights at this hotel. We had an amazing time. The time of year seemed to be perfect as there was no fight over sunbeds but appreciate there may have been in high season. The hotel was clean and rooms spacious. Shower did spray on floor but we laid towels which were replaced every day. Food was tasty and had something different each night. I don't eat fish so had a couple of spagboll nights but enjoyed it. We would say there was always something for everyone. The food through the day was good at the bars. Drinks were plentiful and available most of the time until 11pm so stock up before. Activities through the day were fun not so many people involved but the team worked very hard. Entertainment at night was standard AI very fun. Easy to get a seat at night but again different hight of season. Water park was great fun and you could get away with not paying for beds. Nice and quiet by the pool at hotel when a quieter day is required. Bus service is good. We went to amadores beach one day by bus. We also went to Mogan which is 6€ in a taxi. All quiet places but nice. Wouldn't say there is much partying going on but there is la bamba the night club on the paradise resort which may be busier hight of season. If you are looking for a quiet time away to chill out and you get a good deal here I would definitely recommend it. It was well worth what we paid for and we were very surprised after reading some reviews. We would return with a family as kids would love it! Go for it

We booked Paradise Costa Taurito via a Groupon deal for some end of season sunshine and relaxation. I was hesitant about the nature and clientele of an all-inclusive break, but the hotel and surrounds were great.

It's important to have clear expectations when booking this hotel. It's a great, convenient hotel, with above-average buffet food and an all-inclusive village feel [a supermarket, mini golf, smattering of tourist stores] all within the complex. It's also worth noting the hotel shares the amenities (including the water park) with another six or so hotels. It's not a spa resport, and the beach is fairly average, but imagine this would be great for families, or couples seeking a cheap break away.

In terms of location, the hotel is located in a cove, surrounded by a built-up rocky landscape, and six hotels of varying luxury. There's no local shops, restaurants or a high street, although local towns [Mogan, Maspalomas] are accessible by car and local transport. We hired a car for the trip, which allowed us to drive up into the mountains, and to Mogan in under 10 minutes. The drive from the airport was around 30 minutes - I'd be hesitant to book transfers as Gran Canaria is littered with hotels, which could significantly slow your journey to Costa Taurito,

The food and beverages were fine. Always plenty of selection, and pleasingly, healthier options than the usual burgers and fries. Some unique touches, such as churros at breakfast, champagne on Sunday mornings and honey rum at happy hour, were on offer if you were early enough to take advantage.

The all-inclusive varies in the water park - hotel guests from surrounding hotels were offered spirits/ cocktails by the pool, but only beer was available to Paradise guests. The pool food [hot dogs, burgers] are inedible.

We found the pool area to be pretty chilled out on weekdays, but much busier on the weekends, when locals visit. Overall, our timings [end September] were great, as the days were warm, but the families and half-term groups had since long gone - leaving only families with small children and retiree Brits.

Families with children would be well-served by the "animation team" but equally, peace and quiet could be found by the hotel pool which was calmer than the water park.

Staff are friendly and accommodating, although we had to proactively ask for housekeeping on two of the four days.

A great break for down-time, but lacking the spectacular sights and scenery of other European and island holidays.

Room Tip: No ocean view particularly, as hotel is built on a hill behind another hotel. Rooms on top floor [Fl...

In simple terms, and as a summary up front, yes we would go back!
We booked this 10-day holiday for a relaxing break in the sun and we were somewhat concerned having seen some of the negative reviews; we needn't have worried. This is classed as a 4-star hotel (and we always expect it to be one star less than the UK) so our expectations were realistically balanced; we weren't disappointed!
The hotel was clean and comfortable, food was plentiful and good quality, staff were helpful and friendly; all-in-all we were very pleased!
We were slightly out of season (10 - 26 Sep 13) so it wasn't overly busy (which is part of the reason for booking these dates); we never had problems getting beds at the pool but things may be different during peak-season.
The animation and entertainment were perfect (thanks Bruno) to keep you occupied if you wanted to join in.
The transfer was somewhat longer than we expected (90 minutes) but we don't blame the hotel for this.
If you're a realist and you are looking for a very good value for money break in the sun then we would have no hesitation recommending this holiday.

Room Tip: Ground floor rooms can be quite noisy.

This was our 3rd visit to the taurito, from the 7th - 19th September, we had recommended it to friends and on this holiday there were 17 of us!! After reading earlier reviews I thought everything had changed at the hotel and was very worried because of everyone going with us, but no everything was exactly the same, and I do wonder what people expect, I think the food was even better this year, all the staff go out of their way to help you and make your holiday enjoyable. I agree with someone else's comment treat the staff with respect, and you get it returned, special thanks to Marie,Tony,Brito and Aman (hope I have got the spellings correct) and all other staff, see you all next year Sue and Richard and all the mad crowd.
