“Clearly deserves No 1 status.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

The excellent food is only beaten by the superb service. So deservedly popular that reservations are needed most evenings.

“Great food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2013

Return to this restaurant every year. This year, went twice and took friends who equally loved it. The fresh crab is excellent. I had the seafood salad - crab, tuna, prawns, smoked salmon and a fresh salad which was plentiful. The view of the harbour from the restaurant is the best you could ask for. Cant wait for next year

“Friendly, pleasant views, average food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

We were there earlier today for lunch. We were attracted by their location and the lunchtime prices. We had read about their burger on the TripAdvisor reviews and so decided to try it. The thing with reviews is that everyone has a different idea of what good is. I can only compare the burger to a Findus Burger you would get in the frozen section of your supermarket! We were in the mood for decent burgers but I would suggest waiting till you get home! The Spaghetti Bolognese on the other hand was very nice. The view of the Marina area was pleasant and the people that this place attracts are genuinely friendly and smiley. Would go back but probably for a drink and try another TripAdvisor rated place for food.

“GREAT FOOD”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

Don't be put off by the name not a boozy bar. Local owner married an Irish Lady hence the name. The food is excellent, well cooked tasty and plenty of it. Garlic prawns, fillet steak leg of lamb etc etc etc . Give it a try.

“Great restaurant ... the vastly superior 'Irish' bar / restaurant on the Marina .”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013 via mobile

Went in here with my partner and four month old Daughter who was asleep in her pushchair .

Very friendly staff who , despite our having the only free table left in the restaurant , accommodated us completely and ensured we had the space to relax and enjoy what was a fantastic meal .

The homemade burger was exactly that ... and perfect . REAL chips ( not frozen or fries ) , fresh peppercorn & cream sauce and a very nice dressed salad .

My partner had a Sirloin steak ... nice big and juicy, perfectly cooked ... again, REAL chips and salad .

Freshly squeezed pure OJ and very cold beer to wash it all down .

Very reasonably priced and with free WiFi .

Please do not confuse this with the other 'Irish' establishment , the ridiculous Dennehys , which is 50 metres further down the Marina and vastly inferior in every way .
