We spent 1 week with my family in this hotel in June, 2010. We have a 1-year old son and the grandparents came with us as well.
It was a great surprise that even though we booked a double room we got a 2-room-appartment. It was very comfortable that our son had his separate room.
Room quite basic, but clean. Our bathroom though was in strong need of improvement: the tap did not work, it was rusty on the sides of the door... Grandparents' rooms had no such problems.
Our room had a great location: half a minute from the beach and 1 minute from the pool and restaurants.
There is a new part of the hotel, it seemed it was built a couple of years ago only. However, it is nearly 10 minutes walk from the restaurants!
After the 3rd day you just can't choose as meals are the same.... Some of them are changed but all in all they are all the same every day... Cookies are the same. There was no fruits only pears and oranges every day and apple once. Restaurant staff is really kind and helpful.
There is a thematic restaurant, you can register there. There are Greek, Italian, Chineese and Fish nights. We tried Greek and Italian nights. They were OK but not extraordinary...
Snacks available at the pool bar. Sadly food is the same every day: some cookies (left from breakfast I assumed), pizza slices, sandwiches and ice cream. There was no change in the variety during the week. You can have free cocktails, which are OK.
Sandy and clean!! We loved it. Sunbeds for free but you have to get one early in the morning, otherwise there won't be any free sunbeds left. (Early morning means 5-6)
Most of the staff were not kind or helpful at all. When we arrived it turned out that baby cot has to be paid. It came as a surprise as we were not informed before. It costs 28 EUR/week.
We tried aqua gym which was great. We went to the Greek night, which we loved. There are a lot of programmes for the youngs but for adults, too. Enthusiastic animation team.
We were lucky because late night programs did not disturb us but those who stayed closer to the stages might not get sleep until programmes finish...
They are OK, though we spent most of our times on the beach.
There are 2 playgrounds, our son loved them.
There were always enough baby chairs in the restaurant.
Mastichari village is a nice walk away, only cca. 25 minutes and there is a new pavement along the beach. Worth visiting one afternoon.
Rent a car for a day and see the island. Kos city is a great place to visit.
Mosquitos: there are lots of them in the night, be careful!!
There is a shop across the street: you can buy useful things there and at good prices.
There is also an Internet Cafe across the street, high speed internet for only 2 EUR/30 minutes.
All in all we would go back to this place again.
