Owner description: .A quiet, sandy beach, shallow water, great for children, with 2 beach bars and groups of sun beds. With rivers at either end of the sheltered cove, the beach is known locally as the "cold beach". You can work out why!You can also walk up the small church on the headland, snorkel or swim off the rocks, and visit the ancient ruins or the World War II gun embankments.

“Good Variety”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2014

An excellent horse-shoe beach to relax on with cold sea to dive into and cool down in when you get too hot. It's fine once you're in as long as you keep moving plus it's clear for snorkeling. There's a pool situated behind the beach bar for those who prefer that option. The beach bar has a good choice of food and drinks too. It's also worth exploring by the mountain path and wandering down by the riverside there to see the turtles on the banks.

“Perfect Setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

This small crescent shaped sandy beach has lovely views of the small white chapel and is backed by views of the Lefka Ori mountains. It is at the far end of Georgioupolis, just beyond the river where the fishing boats are moored, but is well worth the walk.

There are two rivers flowing into the sea at either end of the beach, which means that the sea has a cold layer of freshwater on the top!

There are a couple of beach bar/taverna's at the back of the beach and we always go to the 'Captain's' which is family run and has excellent pork souvlaki.

“Cool refreshing water from underground streams”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

This beach is good, there is also a swimming pool behind the taverna. Shallow beach but cold water on first two inches of water as the ocean is fed by underwater cold streams.

The beach was ok, but a tad dirty and very pebbly in certain areas. I liked the long stretch of sand, however the pebbles / rocks made it hard for some people to access certain parts pf the beach
