“Beautiful camping”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

Found this lake on the map and off we headed. No clue what we would find. After the intense mountain side diving and steep cliffs we found amazing lussier hot springs and whiteswan lake. Cystal clear water and warm also. Its a hidden gem. Definitely will be back, a must see.

We have visited many spots in the Columbia valley over the years but this was the first visit to Lussier hot springs - it is an amazing spot and we'll certainly be back. The natural hot spring water runs into the river giving you the option of both warm and cold water dips. Gathers enjoy the spring waters in a are a few small pools of warm water that gather amongst the rocks on the side of the river.

Fyi: The road to the springs is a gravel road that is an active logging road. There are some steep edges to the road at spots. Drive with caution.

“Hidden Treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

We had extra time one afternoon and happened upon this park. It was magical! The road up is gravel and dusty; but it contains several hidden treasures. The first is at km 17.5. It is the Lussier Hot Springs. If you are "into hot springs" this is as good as any. We drove on up past the Alces Lake which is crystal clear, flat and a beautiful blue-green. There are camping, fishing, and canoeing activities available for anyone willing. We weren't willing so we kept driving. Almost immediately we started to view the Whiteswan Lake which is enormous. There is a boat launch, picnicking, and camping available. We took some beautful photographs and kept driving until my travel mate became white knuckled with the road, the elevation, and my driving so we turned around. The road connects to several logging roads and is a logging road itself so you are strictly in God's country surrounded by blue sky, white clouds, and green trees. It was beautiful to behold. The road continued to some area unknown to us. There are "supposedly" several species of animals in the area; but the only ones we encountered were bovine in nature. We ate our lunch on the banks of the Whiteswan Lake. While there were people in the area, we felt all alone with nature, blue water, and wildflowers. This was after Labor Day so perhaps the crowds are there at other times. I was suprised that there was no entry fee to enter the park. I don't know about camping fees.
