We recently had our first honeymoon in Rarotonga (we are currently on our second one in Amalfi). We live in New Zealand and had been to Rarotonga several times. We wanted to go somewhere close as we travel constantly and didn't want to spend more time than needed on a plane.
Rumours was just fabulous.
The staff were wonderful, the food was brilliant (things on the island have changed substantially with the arrival of the Euro deli), and the accommodation was wonderful. We stayed in the Ultimate Villa which gave us plenty of space, our own pool and spa, and even a movie viewing room.
We stayed there for 10 nights. We had amazing weather for 7 days and 3
days of rain. We know the islands well, and expect rain at some time during our visits there, so this wasn't an issue. And besides, we were on holiday!
Tara, the owner is a wonderful hostess. Nothing was a problem, however big or small. She was just fantastic and we will be going back within the year.
I can not recommend this property enough.
In fact we had actually shouted our friends to have their honeymoon there!
