I stayed while on business in March (off season so it was super quiet)..just a couples walking around like they were waiting for the Ark to open. I researched a lot of places and ended up negotiating a good off season rate with them directly.
The pool is one of the best I have seen in Raro, that's not actually saying much but better than many.
The lagoon is right outside and the access is really good for interesting walks and for a change of scenery. The lagoon and islands make it feel super tropical.
The atmosphere was too quiet for me but then the whole island was quiet in March. The music they played was like a tropical elevator and needs to change.
The Hotel itself was super clean, modern and well appointed. The staff were friendly.
It has a no kids policy and apart from no children running around screaming it also means the resort does not have all the "family"stuff you see elsewhere...things are be simpler without the requirement to cater for families and children.
There were just two TV channels and no DVD player.
Finally, WIFI is a nightmare to find at most sub $500 stays in Raro...They had WIFI in the room, it was twice the price as WIFI at The Edgewater and was slow. Always ask about WIFI in Raro as most can not provide it in the room. They did have a free internet in the foyer which was a generous offer and I used it a couple of times.
