I stayed here with three kids age 3,5 and 7 in August 2012. It was a great experience for a harrassed mother of three. I really relaxed.
We had an inter-connecting room about 8 metres from a swimming pool and were half board. There was a DVD player in the room, useful for the children. The food was wonderful, a new theme every night with fresh fish, meat, lovely cold cuts and a surprise every night. I am wheatfree and they always managed to find me food to eat at breakfast. I have stayed in a lot of hotels but this one had the best buffet food in terms of variety, taste and freshness. For snacks/ water we could go to a supermarket nearby to the hotel.
The kids club had it's own pool with pirate ship and a great team of people keeping the children occupied. My eldest son loved the playstation and wii, they also had cinema, fake tattoos, foam parties, football, clay moulding, soft play etc etc. Usually my children won't stay in kids clubs alone but this time they wanted to go. Every night they have a mini-disco for the children with an 'award ceremony' for the kids to 8:30pm followed by a show. Some of the shows put on by the kids club staff were not that good but the children loved them! There was also a singer in the bar for adults every night, this looked very relaxing. Twice while we were there the hotel offered us complimentary drinks and a show outside.
The resort itself is not very nice, no real reason to leave the hotel complex. The beach was dirty and polluted as people have been defacating in the bushes, there being no public toilet. It was a harsh reminder that when you pay for five star, that is what you are getting. The sea and sandy part of the beach bewlo the hotel were clean though. The shops etc. around the hotel were very expensive. Typical Spain: Ham egg and chips and curry houses. Happy hour. We only went to the beach once. The hotel was so wonderful we saw no reason to go anywhere else and it was very hot to leave the poolside.
The rooms were clean, nicely furnished and the staff were all polite and very helpful.
We were ground floor, block B, facing the freshwater pool in an inter-connecting room. This was an e...

Thank you very much for the time you dedicated to writing these comments concerning your stay here with us at the Iberostar Anthelia in 2012.
I am very glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and had time to relax and lean back during your holidays. Thank you for especially mentioning our buffet restaurant Zeus with its variety of different dishes and cuisines. Our chefs always focus on providing specialties for any nationality or guest tastes that we cater for. The theme-nights change on a daily basis, twelve nights in a row, including a Mexican, Spanish, Mediterranean, Italian, Oriental and International buffet. For any future stay I also recommend our two a la carte restaurants provided on property, both opening for dinner. There is our restaurant “Portofino” providing Italian specialties as well as our restaurant “Poseidon” where our guests have the possibility to enjoy the Canarian gourmet cuisine. At lunch time, our Barbecue serves freshly grilled fish and meat as well as other light dishes on a daily basis.
Thank you for especially mentioning the entertainment program of our hotel. Our animation team is always very focused on our guests and keen on providing activities and shows for all ages. I am happy to hear you and your kids enjoyed the miniclub and its grounds as well as the other activities provided. The team is constantly changing, adapting and even improving its program in order to satisfy the expectations of all our guests.
I am glad you did not feel the need of leaving the hotel grounds. As you mention very well, there the hotel provides everything needed on our grounds: There are three shops; a Jeweler, a kiosk as well as a Desigual cloth store, there are four restaurants, two bars as well as two pool bars and five swimming pools, including three salt water pools and two heated soft water pools. Nevertheless, the Iberostar Anthelia is located next to shopping centers, local restaurants and bars, the beach and seaside walk as well as transportation links such as bus and taxi stops and local water sport activity providers, for our guests who like to go outside the hotel to change from time to time.
Thank you again for your highly appreciated comment, it would be our pleasure to welcome you back soon again in our establishment.
